Compact anchor that’s easy to use. The retractable prongs secure with a twist and it’s nicely stowed in a durable bag when finished. It’s lightweight and works to secure or slow the drift of a kayak, but won’t hold much more, especially in a wind or strong current. I recommend it.

Used this on a fishing trip up in Minnesota. Worked perfect keeping my kayak anchored at a good distance from the mess of crappie we found. In strong winds or bad currents it might be just under weight, but for light wind and currents it’s perfect. Folds up nice and can be stashed under the kayak seat and comes with plenty of rope with a nice hook latch to secure it to the boat.Definitely recommend.

This is a great anchor for kayakers! It’s lightweight, comes with plenty of rope and a nice clip to clip it to your kayak. It even has a float ball and a nice bag to store it in. But the best feature is that the rope cuts easily away when you put the anchor down in the Haulover Canal on Florida’s Space Coast and cannot for the life of you get it up because the anchor does what it does best…. anchor in place! The float and clip were saved for future uses, and I ordered another one because I do really like the quality of it. I just need to be smarter about where I anchor in the future!

I was not fully sure if this anchor would hold but I took a gamble and was quite surprised. The anchor is not large or heavy by any means for only weighing 3.5lbs. The rope that it's attached to is strong and comes with 25ft of rope which is plenty for kayak fishing or paddleboarding. The only issue I come across is getting caught in any heavy under water brush, branches or logs. That is a pain in the you know what to untangle. Not too much of an issue if you're lucky enough to find a lake that is sand or rock heavy. Even some really weedy bottoms can be kind of heavy to pull up. It might have 25 ft of rope but I wouldn't fish or paddle far enough out where you would find yourself using all 25ft. I would recommend staying within 20ft or less to ensure that if you get tangled you are able to see where or what your caught up on and have enough excess to use to try and pull yourself out.
