256-10 (G210) 256-15 (G215) 384-15 (G315) 384-25 (G325) Why can’t I rotate the knob on G210 Thermal Imaging Monocular? Is it defective? G210 uses a fixed-focus thermal lens. The focus is factory calibrated, so the knob is locked by design and cannot rotate. This is normal, not a defect. If you need manual focus adjustment, please choose the G215 thermal monocular. Why does the thermal image look blurry at long distances? Thermal monoculars have detection distance and recognition distance. Advertised range refers to detection only. Clear viewing happens at shorter ranges. For sharper long-distance results, G215 supports manual focus for improved thermal imaging. My phone won’t connect to the thermal monocular app. What should I do? Please confirm the app is installed, camera permission is enabled, and OTG is turned on. Some newer phones disable external devices by default. If issues continue, contact our support for step-by-step setup help. How long does the battery last? Can I use it while charging? perfect intersection of performance and cost, toss this into your pocket for biking, hiking, camping, hunting, finding thermal energy leaks on your home etc etc. I am in love with thermal again. About a year ago i bought a unit that attaches to your phone and it was and still is awesome, but for hiking and what not, i wanted to put it away and only whip it out when i needed it, but there was no fast way to put it away as it can be large with the handle and the wires every where that could damage ports so i started looking for a monocular style unit. i started out my thermal life in the 256x192 @25hz and didnt want to down grade so i started looking for models that had that spec. also, i wanted a model that could be attached to a screen of phone for more of a stationary viewing scenario but a small built in veiwing screen for one eye viewing was a must. also it must have 1/4 x20 threads for a tripod, a lens cap that is some how teathered to the unit so i dont loose it and removeable battery and it most cost between $300 to $500 dollars and thats when i landed on this unit. It is perfect for a waist style bag, plate carrier pouch etc etc, quickly pulling it out and viewing your targets. also, it has a standby mode so you can power it on, then tap the power button which seems to turn off the camera and the viewing lens to save on battery and put it away, so when you pull it out you can quickly whip it out, tap the power button and get to viewing. the removeable battery is a 18650 li-ion cell, which is very common and inexpensive, you can likely buy a 4 way charger and 4 cells, so you can take enough batteries with you for many days of use and its super easy to swap the battery out. the camera also has a highest temp box that it can overlay on the screen, this may help you identify warm things on the screen that your eye might be missing for some reason, on my other thermal camera this is what helped me see a mouse hopping around on the bank of a canal about 80 feet away, other wise i would have missed this one. cons: 1 getting used to that tiny screen that you hold up to your eye, at first this was really throwing me off, coupled with not properly adjusting the focus, which was my fault, i thought this unit was junk but i was wrong in all sorts of ways, now i love that little screen, also that little screen doesnt light up your entire face like the phone style unit will do, this is really not much of a con. 2 here is an actual real con, that is not a deal breaker and i suspect most people wont even use this feature. you can turn on the wifi on this thermal camera, install the "thermal camera app" on your phone, and link the phone to the thermal camera, fire up the app and view and somewhat control and view the thermal camera on your phone. its hard to get the app to connect reliably to the phone and once it does it will disconnect and crash about every 3 to 5 minutes from my experience. some times you have to even power cycle the thermal camera to get them to reconnect in the app. 3 it has 16GB of internal storage, the box says 16GB sd card, but this just isnt true. 16GB is not very much, but the resolution is low so maybe it will last a few months of filming occasionally, then you will connect to your pc to drag the items off and delete them from internal storage and you should be good. it would have been better if you could just add a 128GB micro sd card of your own so you dont have to worry about space for a long time. 4 manual focus, im not sure why its manual but my other one is too, maybe it helps make it more precise? be prepared to be adjusting it if you are constantly looking back and forth between close and distant objects. i may purchase another one so that i have two and can people out with me on hikes, but the next one will be the slightly higher resolution this unit is a 9/10 to me ... show more

I've tried a high end thermal scope, and a budget phone-connected thermal imaging device. This Goyojo 15mm falls right in the middle of that performance, but with a price much closer to the budget device. The clarity on this is very good and compares to devices that cost twice as much. I use it exclusively for locating wildlife in unpopulated areas. It is sensitive enough to pick up a songbird sitting on a limb 100 yards away. As my purpose is to simple locate wildlife, I have found that red hot mode works best. It immediately picks up any heat relative to the surroundings. The attached images are single deer, located at 80 yards (feeder) and 50 yards (trees). It powers up quickly. The battery life is great. It has a setting to automatically turn off after a specified period of time (which I set to 10 minutes) so that if you leave it on it won't drain the battery. It takes pictures and video, and it's easy to pull these to a computer with a USB C cable. It does support WIFI but I found that a bit cumbersome to use. I have recommended this product to my outdoor enthusiast friends who are interested in thermal and locating wildlife. ... show more

1 year later update: Battery took a crap, but that could be on me, I didn’t do anything to preserve it. Replacements are easy to come by TLDR: works well in clear conditions, detects out to 1000 yards, companion app sucks I’ve only had this for a couple days, but so far everything is working as intended. I’ll update if any problems arise. Works well in clear atmospheric conditions, struggles to see very far through snow and fog. Detected a deer out 1010 yards and a turkey at about 400 yards. Identification ranges are much closer, my guess would be 500 yards for a deer sized target and a little closer for a turkey. Battery held up pretty well, even in 30 degree weather, I’d like to see how it would fare in even colder conditions. The menus aren’t terrible to navigate through, just read through the instructions to make sense of some of the options. Overall I’m pretty impressed with its performance. I don’t have any other thermals to compare it to so there MAY be a better one out there. I chose the 15mm model, so im not sure how different the 10mm model would preform. The companion app leaves a lot to be desired. If you take a picture and then connect your phone, it won’t see the picture. But if you connect to the app and then take a photo, only while still connected, then you can transfer the image. Very odd ... show more

The G215 thermal monocular is a great budget friendly thermal spotter without compromising quality. It performs just as good as the more expensive 256 resolution thermal monoculars on the market without breaking the bank. I have opted to mount mine on a golight making it remote controlled from inside my vehicle by watching it live streaming on my tablet. This is great for those cold nights checking the fields for hogs. No more having to roll the window down and lean out the truck. I can now see 360 degrees around my vehicle. Identification range between deer or hog is about 250 yards. Detection range of a deer or hog is about 500-600 yards. The battery life is really good and will last all night of hunting without being turned off. I would highly recommend this optic to anybody new to thermals or that doesn’t want to break the bank but wants a quality monocular. ... show more

Amazing clarity, multiple adjustment settings to dial in the view perfectly. I wear glasses and I can focus it enough to use with out them. Comes with a super heavy duty case and charger for the rechargeable battery, good field of view and very easy to distinguish between temperatures. For its small size it seems very sturdy. Will be great for hunting and spotting. I was nervous to purchase at first but now after using it I’m very impressed. Definitely will be looking into the scope version from this brand. ... show more

I hiked over one mile to the Lost River in Yakutat, Alaska, for fishing. I bought with me the GOYOJO G215 Thermal Imaging Monocular. These observations are my pro and con of this device. Pro: 1. It is lightweight. 2. I was in the river, and I slipped while fishing. This device, so far, shows no water damage. I was able to continue fishing and observing my surroundings with this device. 3. I kept it on from 1900 to 2245, and the battery life was still full. 4. It detected a heat signature over 150 yards. I believe I saw a bear heat signature observing us at the river. At this distance, I was able to observe the glowing red heat signature among blurry foliage. 5. At 15 yards to 80 yards, you can recognize the object. Con: 1. The app doesn’t allow direct download to my iPhone or PC. 2. Due to zoom or 4 zoom, it is useless at any distance under 25 yards. 3. The foliage was blurry and blotchy. Recommendation: It is worth the price if you are strong enough to go into a forest, on the river shore, in the river, on the ocean shore, or in the ocean. However, for backyards (area under 15 yards), applications, a typical low-power flashlight is a better choice for you. My experience shows that any reviewer showing his cat in the backyard is an extremely useless reviewer. ... show more

This handheld is pure trash. I have another 256 thermal from AGM that blows this thing out of the water. With this unit you can't see past 50 yards and the image is very blurry. Save your money and buy something better.
