The ad makes it look like it comes with an HDMI cable but it’s actually just a usb cable that you must use to power it while in use. I have mine plugged into a usb on the back of my tv. I had to provide my own HDMI. Install was easy once I realized it needed the usb at the same time.

There's not much to set this apart from other RCA to HDMI adapters. It will get the job done, and the slider that lets you choose between different resolutions is very handy. I used this for some of my retro consoles and it helped to have different options as different games look better in varying resolutions. I only ever pulled this out a handful of times, though, and after six months mine completely ceased to function. I double checked all my other electronics to make sure it wasn't any other wire or cable, but after I bought a replacement RCA to HDMI adapter everything went back to working as expected. I would search for other alternatives, though, if you want a long-lasting product.
