Bought total of 7 detect Units with gateway lots of moving issues had to have Bestbuy Geek squad come in for $103 to reset linksys dual band to shut off the 5mzh and only use 2.4mzh, make sure govee plug is close to wi-fi router etc etc etc. Finally Geek Squad got the multiple device settings corrected so that the Govee plug in connected (the blue light now on) allowing me to connect all detectors. Seems like a lot to know for 78 year old senior to get it to work.

Typically I'm a fan of Govee products. Unfortunately I think this item missed the mark. The wifi gateway does not come with does not come with the gateway, which makes them a truly wireless, and smart home product. Without the gate way the detectors will sound an alarm (which is remarkably loud!) Im hoping that the gateway will go up for sale in the US, because these are somewhat unremarkable otherwise. They detect water, sound an alarm. Which the alarm is loud. Sound for a low battery state, and that's about it. Govee, sell the gateway separate! Not everyone needs a 6 pack to get it the gateway.. and to also work smart home device I'll keep this item and make sure that the placement is somewhere on the main floor so i'll always be able to hear them. Thanks for reading, and the opportunity to review this item. I do recommend a leak detector with a local alarm that connects to you smart home via wifi, zigbee, or z-wave.

I had purchased 6 of these and placed them strategically around my home. The other day, the alarm went off and my phone notified me of the location. My young granddaughter was taking a shower and failed to put the curtain inside the tub. The water started running on the floor and behind the toilet which set the sensor off. It scared my granddaughter when the alarm went off, but it also reminded her in the future to keep the curtain inside the tub. The device helped to prevent water damage in an upstairs bathroom.

My main issue with this 3-pack is that you already need to have a B0C3BB2X9J or distributed gateway, and you can NOT buy a B0C3BB2X9J gateway separately! If this is your first purchase of GoveeLife Water Leak Detectors, I'd advise you to get one of the packs unless you have a distributed gateway device. Some distributed gateways that would work with these, would be some of GoveeLife (Govee) Humidifiers, Kitchen Appliances, etc. So, if you already have a gateway of either type it will work with your WiFi! Otherwise, you will have to use them in "Dumb" mode. Now, the "Dumb" mode works quite well in my tests. These units are LOUD!!! I currently have them under my kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and behind the toilet (need to make sure I don't miss and set this one off by accident!). There is about a 1-2 second delay before it sounds the alarm, which I am assuming is to make sure that the water is staying rather than a quick drop than nothing. Otherwise, I wish I could just buy the B0C3BB2X9J gateway by itself! Or realized that I couldn't buy the gateway separately before getting these. Good devices otherwise!

We had a pipe burst and it made me realize how easy it is for the house to get damaged if we aren’t at home when it happens. Now I have these all over the house by the sinks. They work great.
