My house came with multiple wired Waterbug detectors but none for the air handlers in the attic. DOH! Clearly not a situation I could allow to persist. These little monitors are a fraction of a fraction of the cost of extending the Waterbug system from the basement to the attic. They are cheap as chips; really easy to set up; and they work. We had a live test just last week. My HVAC engineer was bleeding air out of the system following a service. A small amount of fluid leaked into the tray under the air handler. My phone immediately started pinging, as did our kitchen iPad which uses the same Govee App. That last feature seals it for me. The alarm will register on whatever devices you have the Govee App installed upon and logged in, so you can be out of the house and you will get a loud notification on your phone, AND whoever is in the house will also get a notification on your home device. Of course, that feature does depend upon Govee continuing their monitoring service, but they have been around for a while. The units are supposed to have a battery life of five years. We will see, I have a diary note to test the system every six months. I am really pleased. This is a good quality, very cost effective solution to our situation.

Great Connectivity & Simple Setup in Large Home

Completed placement and setup of three water sensors in less than 10 minutes. I was concerned because we have one HVAC unit in the basement and two in the attic with two finished floors between them (~5,600sf). I have no issues as you'll see in the image with great connectivity on all sensors and a centrally located hub. The app is super simple to use, with easy to follow prompts to add additional units. The tap-to-test feature on the sensors gave me peace of mind that they and the app work well together. Clogged condensate lines on HVAC units can quickly cause major damage and expense. I'm confident we can be away from home on vacation or even just have early warning if we encounter such a problem while we're home. Extremely happy with this product especially at the price point!

Works well with app and wifi

I had an older one with AAA batteries. They died and it didn’t warn me of low battery (or at least not that I’m aware of). Had a leak and got a mess. But searching for a replacement brought me back to this brand that was updated with a non replaceable multi-year battery, so I bought the 3-pack and it works great. I’ve tested it and no issues. The app warns me nicely. The app shows the battery level so I hope it alerts me when it is time to replace it with one of my 2 spares.

You been a controller in order to connect the sensors.

Be careful when you order. You need to have a controller in order to connect the sensors. Don’t order just the sensors which is offered. I made that mistake and had to return the sensors and reorder the bundle that included the controller. In all fairness, this information is in the fine print. It’s all working great now. I would highly recommend this product.

WiFi 2.4GHz only, otherwise thumbs up.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Haven't had a water leak yet, and didn't test it, so not sure if it works. But it is very easy to install. The sensors feel solid, not flimsy. The only annoying thing was that it only connects to 2.4GHz WiFi, not 5. Although my Synology router's WiFi was dualband with the same SSID it didn't want to connect. I had to temporarily set the router to broadcast in 2.4Ghz only to let the gateway connect and then set the router back to both bands.

Easy to use and setup with a good app

Easy to install and I love the options gover has with other smart devices. Their app is relatively easy to use and I like it because it integrates with Google Home well. I will update this review if any issues come up but seems to be a good product.
