    • A better solution for cold press coffee than using a French Press
UPDATE: Seeing a different version of this type of cold brew coffee maker on the Today's Deals page reminded me that I hadn't come back to do the promised update. This product has been in constant use since I bought it. If the dishwasher is about to run anyway, I'll put it in, but otherwise a quick rinse-out is good enough. - It fits easily in the refrigerator door; - Looks nice on the table; - Doesn't slip in the hands, even when wet, and in fact the lack of a handle makes it easier to deal with (and much less likely to get broken); - It's been banged around quite a bit, with no breakage; - I'm using about 2/3 the amount of coffee I used to with a French Press, and get a better result; - The silicone seal is not worn or stressed in any way despite being in constant use. I haven't even looked at our other coffee makers since buying this. It fits the bill perfectly. Absolutely recommend. ______ Original review: Easy to use, easy to clean, makes better cold brew than our French Press, and table-worthy style. Very glad we purchased this. I do wonder if the silicone seal will wear out at some point due to being switched between the filter insert and the stopper, but there doesn't seem to be any weak point for it to tear so hopefully that won't be a problem. ... show more

    • Great Flavor
Lovely product with a sleek, modern appearance. It's very easy to use and the coffee that it produces is rich and robust. Despite the instructions saying to fill the chamber with coarsely ground beans, I used preground coffee because it was all I had on hand. I guessed on how much to use. I did not fill the chamber as suggested for the beans. I used twice what I normally would use for a liter of coffee and it came out yummy. the flavor is noticeably different and that says something considering I used the preground coffee. It rinsed out and cleaned up easily. Plus I got two good, tall ice coffees (no ice added, put into insulated, lidded glass) out of one application. This is my new coffee friend, for sure. I can't wait to try it with the coarsely ground beans. I'm sure it's even better. If I were to criticize anything, it would be the need for directions. None were included with my purchases. I had only what was printed on the box to guide me. I'm the type of person who needs more precision. To say "fill the chamber" tells me little. I'd like to see specific amounts for both coarsely groung AND preground. Not everyone likes the extra step of grinding beans. Overall, it's terrific! ... show more

    • The Glass is so thin and cheap.
I was impressed with the design and the set up of how it works. But not impressed with the glass. I even told the kids that I didn't want them to wash it because it was so thin. I used it twice, and it made a great brew. The last time I used it I set it in the sink to wash it and I was washing the inside of it with a bottle brush/sponge the side of it just chipped off. I should have went with my 1st instincts when I received it and sent it back. I just knew the thin glass would not last. Guess I'm only to blame. But I want to share my experience with everybody and let them know that this is a very thin cheap glass container. ... show more

    • Nearly-perfect product
Excellent results. Easy to use, looks great, stores well. So why does it lose a star? A minor problem. The infuser fits into the container snugly via its rubber ring, which also grips the lid. But once you've infused, you cannot get a good seal without the infuser. That is, the nice lid does not seal the container, but sits loosely on the top. So you have to wash the infuser right away, and re-insert it for a full seal. Several ways to fix this, which I will reveal for ONE MILLION DOLLARS. ... show more

Great for HOT and COLD liquids. By HOT I mean Water at boiling Tempetrues. Good size and can be used to flavor water. Provided nothing is in the inserted strainer you can pour easily without removing it. Being glass makes it much better than plastic containers. The strainer is quality stainless steel. I couldn't be happier with purchase. I highly recommend. I kept this review brief as much has already been said about product. I wanted to hit on key points absent from other reviews or appeared to be most asked. Hit the grind button in the morning and it will wake you up more than any amount of coffee you can drink! The system is interesting, but really stumped my wife. She stopped using whole beans and just uses pre-ground coffee. Over the course of time we've had the unit...it now takes upwards of 30 minutes to brew a pot of coffee. Sometimes longer. The water gets stuck in the filter area and water spills out the top. We had high hopes for this one--and we're coffee lovers--so this unit was a bit of a let down. ... show more
