  • Excellent Value E-Bike for Everyday Commuting
Color: Black
I’ve been using this Gotrax electric bike for a while now, and it has exceeded my expectations. Assembly was straightforward, with clear instructions, and everything arrived well-packaged. The bike feels solid, durable, and much more premium than I expected at this price point. The pedal assist engages smoothly, making rides effortless without feeling too aggressive. It handles hills better than I anticipated, and the motor is quiet enough that it doesn’t distract from the riding experience. The battery life has been reliable, easily covering my daily commute and leaving enough charge for additional errands or a relaxing ride afterward. Charging is simple, and the battery has been consistent so far. The adjustable seat and upright riding position make longer rides comfortable, while the brakes provide confident stopping power. The bike feels stable on both paved roads and light gravel paths, and the suspension helps absorb small bumps, making the ride smoother. I also appreciate the clean design and integrated battery, which gives the bike a modern appearance. For anyone looking for an affordable, dependable electric bike without spending thousands of dollars, this is an excellent choice. It offers a great balance of performance, comfort, quality, and value. Whether you’re commuting to work, riding around town, or just enjoying some outdoor exercise, this bike delivers exactly what most riders need. After several rides, I’m very satisfied with this purchase and would confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable entry-level e-bike. ... show more

  • Vrooooooom!
Color: Purple
So I reeeeallly wanted an E-Bike, just a nice pedal assist that's legal in my state. This is a Class 2 so good most places. I looked at many here, direct manufacturers, and even check my local bike shop. Ultimately I took a chance on this Gotrax and I'm glad. It's on the lower end price-wise, but still an investment so I wanted to go with an American manufacturer with support and replacement parts if needed. Honestly it IS entry level, but before dropping $1k+ on a bike I wanted to be sure I liked it! Good news, I do and plan to stick with this one! I've had it 4 months and it's been reliable and rides well. It's not as heavy as some I tested, maybe 50 lbs, and while assembly wasn't the easiest it wasn't too hard. All needed tools were included and the allen wrenches are actually good. The disc brakes did need adjusting, and it took me a little while and a couple videos to get right, but work well. The pedal assist and throttle are excellent, I only use the throttle on cold starts at lights really. The power levels 1-5 basically correspond to assistance up to 10, 12, 15, 18, & 20 mph as far as I can tell. It doesn't have a speedometer, but phone apps work great (I highly suggest a phone mount) and how often do you really need to know? If you have it at level 2-3 and aren't winded you're probably doing 12-15 max and that's fast enough for me. So overall: It's super cute, rides well, a bit barebones but solid and reliable to this point. I've had fun customizing it as well as riding and am somewhere around 200 miles on it so far. ... show more

  • Cheap bike. Sketchy Company
Color: Black
Cheaply made. Spent a majority of the day trying to tighten the screws but not matter how tight the parts were things were able to move. The seat constantly kept sliding down. The handle bars would always misalign. After an hour of that I decided to ride it just down the block and the handlebars still misaligned and almost caused me to fall off. I stopped at a bike stop near by and spent another 30 mins tightening the parts at the point disassembling it and putting it together. Went for another ride and the front wheel completely fell off while I was on the street. Happened in the middle of the night so I couldn't find all the pieces ended up leaving it on the side of the road as trash. Worst birthday present ever Update on Customer Service: The next morning i called GoTrax directly and talk to a very rude representative she wasn't sincere and sounded like she didn't care. She told me to just get the refund from amazon only if i returned the bike. Eventually amazon did process the refund so that door is closed. Now the month is almost over and I just recieved an email from this company that sounds AI generated one key give away was that they copied my review word from word and stated they will give me refund if I returned the bike. They wrote that on the same paragraph where I stated that this bike is damaged and in the bushes somewhere. I hope I get an actual human to read my response to this email. ... show more

  • A Smooth, Confident Ride for Daily Errands and Weekend Adventures
Color: Black
I’ve been riding the Gotrax Dolphin 26” step‑thru e‑bike for a while now, using it for everything from early‑morning grocery runs to longer weekend rides along the River trail. What stands out first is how natural the bike feels the moment you start pedaling. The step‑thru frame makes it easy to hop on even when I’m carrying a backpack or wearing bulkier clothes, and the adjustable seat and handlebar let me dial in a position that stays comfortable for an hour‑long ride. The 350W motor (with a 500W peak) has enough punch to help me climb the gradual hills around town without feeling like I’m straining. On flat stretches, the pedal‑assist levels give me a lot of control — level 1 feels like a gentle push, while level 5 makes it feel like the bike is gliding forward with minimal effort. When I switch to pure electric mode, the bike settles into a steady pace around 20 mph, which is perfect for short commutes. With the removable 280.8Wh battery, I usually get around 15 miles on electric-only rides, and closer to 30 miles when I mix in pedal assist. On days when I know I’ll be out longer, carrying a second battery removes any range anxiety. The front suspension has been surprisingly helpful on uneven pavement and small potholes. Riding through older neighborhoods where the sidewalks and roads aren’t perfectly smooth, the shock absorber keeps the front end stable so my hands don’t get fatigued. The dual‑disc brakes give a firm, predictable stop even when I’m going downhill or riding in light rain. I also appreciate the small details — the bell, the console, and the clear display — which make the bike feel more secure and easy to manage in traffic. One of my favorite features is the Shimano 7‑speed system. When I’m riding without assist, shifting to a lower gear makes it easy to maintain momentum without pushing too hard. And the boost mode is genuinely useful: holding the button for a couple seconds gives a gentle 6 km/h push that helps when starting from a full stop or when I’m tired at the end of a long ride. Assembly was straightforward. Most of the bike comes pre‑assembled, and the instructions are clear enough that I had it ready to ride in under an hour. Knowing that Gotrax offers a 365‑day parts assurance adds a layer of confidence, especially for a bike I plan to use regularly. Overall, the Gotrax Dolphin feels like a practical, well‑balanced e‑bike for everyday riders. It’s strong enough for hills, comfortable enough for longer rides, and flexible enough to switch between exercise, commuting, and relaxed cruising. The UL2849 certification is also reassuring — it’s good to know the electrical system meets safety standards. For anyone looking for a dependable step‑thru e‑bike that fits easily into daily routines, this one has been a solid companion. ... show more

  • BEYOND HAPPY with my GOTRAX DOLPHIN!
Color: Black
1 YEAR UPDATE !! 7/2/2025 Purchased - May, 2024 I use the bike 6 out of 7 days a week. The battery is still in perfect condition and lasts as long as it did day 1. I charge the battery overnight or during the day when it hits 20%. I noticed that running the lowest setting (1 - 5 speed setting) is just a slower build up to max speed. I use the first setting and pedal, saving battery and going just as fast as the 5th speed. 5th speed gives a much quicker speedup from a stop. --------Original review before update-------- Compared to a regular non-electric bike, this has made getting to work MUCH easier. I ride 8mi total (4 there, 4 back) and the battery drops from 100% to 80% using PEDAL ASSIST and THROTTLE. It dropped to 60% when I mostly used throttle. This makes getting uphill possible without breaking a sweat. It has improved my quality of life a lot, being able to get to work FASTER, and less exhausted, while still being able to exercise like a normal bike. I’ve been charging it to full after I get home and let the bike sit for a little while. I have never built a bike, and it was VERY EASY as long as you follow the directions. BUT……. The breaks on both wheels were too tight and I had to fidget with them for a couple hours to get them to stop making a grinding noise. IDK if there is an easy way of fixing that, it took me a while of straight tightening and loosening the breaks. ^and im pretty sure I made the breaks a little less powerful by fidgeting with it with no knowledge of how to do it the correct way, but the bike makes no noise, and breaks still work perfectly. —-> look up a YouTube video on how to stop breaks from making noise. There’s a way by loosening the breaks, PRESSING your breaks, then tightening them. That fixed it immediately, just look at multiple videos and try to find someone show that specific way. The little light reflectors on both wheels came loose, I knocked both out of place when building the bike. I just pushed them back into place and they haven’t moved while riding. I’m only putting that in the review to try and let people know that it’s NOT BROKEN, it scared me at first but I have had absolutely 0 problems riding this bike so far. I’m beyond happy with how it’s been performing. ——BIKE INSTEAD OF UBER! —— I was spending $15 on Uber rides 2 times a day, $600 to me is VERY WORTH THE PRICE if you are someone who takes Ubers to work or school and are looking to save money long-term. WARNING‼️ ‼️WEAR A HELMET, THIS THING IS FAST‼️ EDIT AFTER 1 MONTH: I love this bike. It’s made getting to work SO MUCH LESS OF A CHORE. GET SLIME FOR YOUR TIRES! I go over thorns frequently. I put slime in my tires and I no longer get flats. ... show more

  • Great bike - Wife loves it (but when assembling, have a magnifying glass handy!)
Color: Black
Picked this electric bike up for my wife for Christmas - she loves it. It was fairly easy to assemble, save for the front disc brake, which was confusing. I found the assembly instructions written both in a miniature font and unclear - the images were so small they were not helpful. But once assembled, the bike sails! It has a powerful battery and easy-to-learn functionality. The pedal assist is surprisingly powerful and fun - and the magic 'no pedaling at all' feature is a helpful bonus. The bike is very comfortable in a more casual biking way than an exercise way - you ride more upright as opposed to a 'racing' posture, which my wife also likes. For the price, I don't think this bike can be beat. It is high quality and well thought out. Aside from the assembly instructions, which were lacking, I would highly recommend. ... show more

  • Fantastic e-bike! Smooth ride and great battery life.
Color: White
I am absolutely loving this Gotrax Dolphin e-bike. The 26" size is perfect and it feels incredibly sturdy and well-built. The ride is smooth, and the pedal assist makes tackling hills completely effortless. I’ve been using it for daily commuting and casual weekend rides, and the battery life has been impressive—it easily lives up to the advertised range. Assembly wasn't overly complicated either. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a reliable, high-quality electric bike! ... show more
