Description

Gotham Knights is a brand-new open world, third-person action RPG featuring the Batman Family as players step into the roles of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin, a new guard of trained DC Super Heroes who must rise up as the protectors of Gotham City in the wake of Batman’s death. An expansive, criminal underworld has swept through the streets of Gotham, and it is now up to these new heroes to protect the city, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops and fear to its criminals. Players must save Gotham from descent into chaos and reinvent themselves into their own version of the Dark Knight.

While this game doesn’t quite reach the heights of the Arkham Batman titles, it is a worthwhile game for fans of the bat family/night of the owls comics. Both the story and gameplay are excellent.

Like others who ordered this product on sale the copy is a non-US region game. Which makes any and all DLCs / bonus content ineligible. There’s no info at all on the packaging shown OR in the description that it’s a different region. Will now have to go out of my way to return which which the most infuriating part of dealing with Amazon’s screw up. Which seems to be a constant lately. PlayStation store has the game for 28 now anyway so I’m just going digital. Amazon needs to have separate product and fulfillment ratings so we didn’t have to tank the games rating to earn others to avoid buying. Hopefully the game is worth this hassle been holding out to purchase and this really puts a damper on my day. If you are a parent do not buy games from Amazon unless you check your games in the right region before handing the game over to your kids. Or you run the risk of buying dlcs that don’t work (even the codes inside games) having to buy the game a second time (been there before). No review of gameplay since I have to return it. ... show more

Here's a short mini-review that I recently posted to social media: Partway through, I realized that as a big fan of the Batman Arkham games, I had to let go of any hope that Gotham Knights would serve as a successor to them. Doing that - thinking of it as just a fun open-world crime fighting game - I enjoyed it way more than at first. Playing alone, you can choose which masked crusader you want to be (switchable any time at the base); the gruff brute (Jason Todd as Red Hood), the sexy nerd (Barbara Gordon as Batgirl), the heroic jock (Dick Grayson as Nightwing), or whatever Robin is (Tim Drake). Negatives include no 60FPS mode, almost none of the big-name Batman villains, and late-game enemy types that are more frustrating than fun. It shines best during the linear story and side missions, but still never rises to Arkham heights. But, was worth playing. ... show more

Man this sucks… I was sorta hype for this game.. I really was but it’s honestly not good. For starters the combat feels really sluggish.. almost like your fighting underwater , the graphics feel old and dated and the voice acting is just straight up cheese and bad.. trying to do a heavy mid combo just doesn’t feel good and the AI is just dumb making the game easy and boring.. the story is intriguing and each characters feels unique but honestly this game is bad and your better of waiting for it to be on the game pass, PS plus or on sales for 20$ or less ... show more
