Description

The 7x4 i-screen was designed by Go Sports to provide a safer way to practice or play Baseball and softball. Unfortunately, pitchers and coaches are commonly put at risk by pitching to batters without a protective screen which increases the risk of come-back line drives harming the pitcher. Our i-screen net provides a protective screen from which pitchers or coaches can hide behind while the Batter makes contact. In the even of a come-back hit, the net will prevent the pitcher from getting hurt. The net can be setup in under 60 seconds and includes steel stakes that can firmly plant the net into the ground. Stop making excuses and protect your players today

  • Best Purchase of 2020
My teenage son is an absolute terror with a bat in his hands. We usually hit at batting cages at the high school where I can safely hide behind an L-screen, but with Covid-19 shutting down all of the batting cages in March, we had to practice in open field areas. After taking a sharp line drive off of the knee in early spring, I knew that I needed something for protection and I gave this product a shot. Even without putting the stakes in the ground, the screen is able to stop even the hardest line drives. My son's coach borrows the screen for batting practice and none of the highschoolers on the team have yet hit one that the I-screen did not stop. I am not a mechanical wizard, but it only takes me a minute to get the screen set up, so I'm sure that anyone could do it. Its also fairly light, so when we have to carry it for a bit of distance to find an open spot on the field to hit, my son and I can carry it between us, along with all of his gear and a bucket of balls, so its obviously much lighter than a regular L-screen. The whole thing breaks down quickly, and we just toss it into the back of the car between uses. we have used the screen 3-4 days per week for the past 3 months or so. I haven't noticed any wear or damage on the thing, and it has taken some pretty good liners from kids who play on high school teams. Obviously, a traditional L-screen is more sturdy and easier to throw with. With the I-screen, you don't have the open space on your throwing side to throw through, so it is a little bit of an adjustment at first as you figure out how to throw accurately and find cover all in one motion, but its nothing an experienced dad can't figure out easily. If you are throwing in a cage or on a field with an L-screen already there, then you don't need this product. However, if you need protection and don't have room in your car or want to lug a heavy L-screen across a field, this product is perfect for you. ... show more

  • Great addition for baseball training!
I have been in baseball my entire life and have used the typical L-Screen to throw to my players. Typical L-Screens are always extremely expensive, heavy, difficult to move and usually a permanent structure that isn’t portable. After years of frustration, I went online and started reading reviews for an L-Screen that is portable, sturdy, affordable and safe! It didn’t take long for me to find the GoSports L-Screen. When the L-Screen arrived, it was exactly what I was looking for - what a great product! Initially, I was skeptical about how the L-Screen would hold up with my high school kids hitting the ball back at the net, but after utilizing it for the last few week, the product is definitely sturdy enough to withstand the power of my top level players! I highly recommend the GoSports L-Screen to anyone that is looking for a great product to use to throw to their kids! You will not be disappointed! ... show more

  • Solid Purchase
I installed a portable basketball hoop a few months ago. I had tried my best to keep the basketball from bouncing into my neighbors backyard. Alas one wrong bounce a month ago sent the ball to the neighbors yard. I had previously tried a basketball specific return net but a piece of the previous net broke and I returned it. I saw the 12x9 net and thought it might work better. And while my shots are usually accurate and so this net isn’t really needed as the ball won’t bounce ice the backboard. But it’s there just in case. One reason for 4 stars is the base bar is a little longer and I had to extend it to the neighbors backyard a little bit. I did purchase the smaller net to protect a corner where my fence is shorter too. All in all both purchases were good and useful. ... show more

  • Jury is still out
I've only owned this for a few weeks and used it on a handful of occasions. So far, it does what it is supposed to do. It is definitely larger than I was expecting. Not sure why, I have a normal sized net and know how these look. I am concerned that the little pockets that the side pieces slide into are going to rip soon. The material feels very thin and weak. Only time will tell. I can say that for occasional use, this should be fine. But if you need an I-screen for daily use (maybe even weekly), this will not hold up and last. Maybe if you keep it assembled all the time. ... show more

  • A must have for improving your 12u hitting
Our 12u softball coaches use these so I had to have one for our at-home work. These set up just as easy as the bownets using the same concept. If I’ll say anything it is this: if you have a power-hitter, do not stand/sit too close to the net during your drills because the ball can/will hit you during line drives 😅 To mitigate this, I simply sit 2 softball-bucket lengths behind the net, and have my foot resting on its foot closest to me. Haven’t been hit behind the net since 👍🏼 ... show more

  • Lightweight, quick to setup, good pitcher protector
I use this as a pitcher protector for batting practice and it works great. Easy to set up and really lightweight. In the first day using it we took some shots up the middle and the net material held up great with limited give to protect the pitcher. Super happy with the purchase.

  • Compact, decent quality and price. Need to use anchors for it to work.
We bought this for father/son baseball pitch hit. Dad getting increasingly nervous about liners coming right back at him and his slowing reflexes :) The screen is straightforward in design, decent materials. It takes 5 mins to put together. I like the case that comes with it to keep everything neat and together. In order for the screen to work you need to use the U shaped anchors (think tent stakes). Push them into the ground over the feet to secure the screen. If you don't, the first liner hit at the screen will knock it over. This means you need to be on a surface (grass) that will accept metal anchors. ... show more

  • Not terrible
The net will do the job it's supposed to do. It has stopped hard hit line drives at 30feet without problem. The sleeve that fits around the poles feels a little thin and cheap. I have concerns on how long it will be before it frays and fails. I'm very disappointed in the carry bag, as it's about as cheap as possible. I have no illusions as to how long the bag will last. If it makes it through the fall season I'll be pleasantly surprised. All that being said, for the price, it will protect you. It's super light, and super handy. ... show more
