It is thinner and lighter weight than I hoped. Obviously, those specifications are available, but my frame of reference was off. It feels like durable material so it will protect the flooring underneath and will wear well, but it is not thick, so it isn't good for impact absorbtion (for exabmple if over tile), nor does it stay flat over carpet. I have it on carptet b/c i wanted to preserve the padding of the carpet upstairs, but unless it is weighted down, it will wrinkle up a bit with much athletic movement on it. I gave it 4 stars because it is what it claims to be, but it wasn't exactly what I hoped for. ... show more

Absolutely love this workout mat!! We have hardwood floor and doing our workouts were so tough because I was always nervous about putting the weights on the floor and your knees would hurt doing yoga even with a yoga mat. I love that this is one piece and you don’t have to deal with puzzle piece squares. You can roll it up and secure it with provided straps when not in use and I love the size we got. It’s plenty big enough for when both my wife and I workout together. The support and comfort are amazing on your feet knees and other joints, but durable enough for all my weights. I turned one of my rooms in the apartment to a workout area. I do functional training with catlbel weights of up to 20 KG and many jumps and movement drills. I was looking for a durable, shock observing and 100% anti slip surface. Also it had to be big enough for setting up multiple instruments. First I bought horse stall mats - I didn't do my research and that was a huge mistake, the odor was unbearable and nothing helped just as many blogs warned. The best decision I made was to throw it out and get this mat. I feared it was not thick enough to shock observe properly when I jump and maybe not so durable but it turned out to be absolutely perfect, couldn't be happier. PERFECT workout floor. I've been using the puzzle piece mat that is a pain in the butt because the parts come apart, bunch up, etc. and I hated them. Not anymore with this mat. Showed up when it was expected to. It is a substantial mat and seems to be exactly what I was looking for to go over the horse mats in the gym. Broke my ankle same day so haven't been able to actually try it out yet. Will let you know more in 8-10 weeks :( The kids love it

I got the 6x9 exercise mat and it's got to be one of the most durable and comfortable mat that I've ever to workout on. Highly recommended for cardio, weight training, aerobics as well as martial arts practice!!

We've had it setup in living room for 6 days and have completed 5 workouts on it so far. Unfortunately it already has 2 little 'pulls' on it from working out. It's also incredibly hard to use sliding discs on it which is really disappointing for an exercise mat at this price point. It offers great joint support for HIIT, cardio, weight lifting, and is good enough for yoga. Just sad that this isn't as durable as other Gorilla brand products we own, I expect we'll have to replace it within the year if the 'pulls' in material continue at this rate! ... show more
