Description

Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive is a tough, versatile, all-weather adhesive. The 100% adhesive formula provides a long-lasting, heavy duty bond. We call it All Surface, All Purpose. The gap-filling, durable, 100% waterproof adhesive formula is perfect for indoor and outdoor projects, holds in 30 seconds, and bonds virtually anything including subfloor, mirrors, trim, drywall, landscaping, bath surrounds, foamboard, marble and more!Not recommended for use on polyethylene, polypropylene, bitumen or similar materials.DIRECTIONS:All surfaces should be clean and free of dirt, grease and oil. Best if used above 40°F.1. Apply adhesive to one surface in a zig-zag pattern or inside perimeter of the object. Be careful of squeeze-out. When working on rough, uneven surfaces, use enough adhesive to fill gaps.2. Within 10 minutes, press surfaces together and hold for 20-30 seconds. NOTE: Heavy items may require temporary support. Use in conjunction with mechanical fasteners when hanging large mirrors.3. Allow 24 hours to cure. My mother had this concrete garden statue consisting of a Madonna inside a little niche. Mind you, the niche weighs about 25 pounds. Anyway, it’s nearly 30 years old and when we picked it up to paint it the base came away from the structure. The break was pretty clean but both surfaces were rough concrete, wasn’t sure if this would bind such a heavy structure without a smooth surface to bind to. So I lathered a fairly heavy amount of this adhesive put the two together, and let it stand for 3 day's. To be on the safe side after the set period, I held the structure up in place just to be sure the bond was strong and it held. The photo shows the niche repaired, the Madonna in place, all with a fresh coat of paint. Mom was thrilled, it looks like new! ... show more

I purchased two 10x12 outdoor umbrellas. I went with the recommended base, the problem is the cylinder. They would not stay tightened. I was tightening the screw daily. I bought this because I didn't want to use the gorilla construction adhesive that you use in a caulking gun; too much hand work, squeezing caulking gun. Used this glue today for a project, glue was soooo thick, it was difficult to get out of tube. Seem like this would work better if warmed up prior to use; will try that next time. So far, so good on my project I used it on; gluing metal to wood. Also didn't realize this doesn't clean off hands with soap and water; I used coconut oil to remove sticky glue, then soap and water, worked like a charm. ... show more
