I’ve tried both clay litter and crystals with this mat, and it makes a noticeable difference with both. There’s significantly less tracking across the floor, and all I have to do is pick it up and pour whatever excess may slide off back in the litter box or go flap it outside a couple times. My cat tends to get sick due to thyroid issues and somehow trained herself to get sick on bathroom rugs. This has happened and I was surprised how well it was to clean up the sick from the mat with disinfectant wipes. During to the rough surface, it did take a few extra wipes, but it was worth it as I didn't have to move the kitty litter box or table the box is under. I love how you can just use the vacuum to pick up the kitty litter on the mat. I also have a lot less litter around my bathroom (over 70% less I'd say, maybe more) because of how well this mat keeps the litter from spreading. My cat seems to enjoy it and finds it soft enough as she uses it to lay down once in a while. The purple color I got was true to size. the creases from the mat being shipped came out after about a week with the litter box on top. It doesn't slide around, which is needed in this household. I highly recommend this, although I do also recommend going for a mat that will go around the side(s) and front/back of the litter box as it helps reduce the spread of litter. Bought the small size and cut the mat into two pieces to fit inside of my kitty’s litter box hidey hole and it works great. I kept the other piece of the mat and laid it outside the cabinet and I have noticed a big difference in the amount of vacuuming I do outside the box. Easy to vacuum or shake into the litter box. It does take a bit for the material to relax after shipping but after a few days it lays flat. ... show more

I wasn't so sure this would work for keeping litter off of the floor as the cats exit the litter box, but IT DOES A GREAT JOB!! Also, I can either vacuum it or shake it out to clean it. And the color I ordered is great! I ordered one for each litter box and it really helps!

This mat is very durable my cats like to scratch on it, and it hasn't show any ware as of yet. it catches litter very well yet its easy to vacuum everything off of it. I definitely recommend getting this mat 😊

Review Date: Oct 2022 I use this (inside) at the exterior door my 4 dogs come & go through. It’s made a HUGE difference in reducing the debris on dog paws being tracked into the house!! Major PROS: Easy to clean AND vacuum. I’ve used MANY different rugs over the years, and this product works best IMO. Also love it’s easy and lightweight to WASH. This is my second one; still have first but needed a color change. New one is not nearly as thick/heavy as first but I'm hoping it will do the job as first one did.
