Description

The difference between VViViD protect and other security films is the amount of impact the film can take. All security films are built to keep glass together in the event of breakage. They are also made to slow down intruders from breaking and entering. However, VViViD Protect takes it a step further by absorbing much more impact. The film is coated with a rubber-based adhesive that spreads impact over a large surface area. This helps preserve the intact state of the window as well as protect your valuables.

My dog scratches at the brand new glass sliding door to go in or out. I buy this roll once a year or so. Peel off the old (a pain to get all the glue off) and everytime, the glass behind has ZERO scratches. I put a new sheet on just the lower half of the door carefully, push out the bubbles, and you can barely see its even there. Completely see through, and people dont even notice it until I point it out. I can't imagine how much $ I'm saving from having the glass replaced because of the dog ... show more

This product came with no instructions for applying it to window glass, and the seller's website had info on wrapping a car with vinyl, but nothing for this window film. I was unable to get the film to lay down smoothly without wrinkles and bubbles. It looks terrible, and as another reviewer stated, the adhesive is very difficult to remove when you finally give up and strip the film off your previously clean glass. NOT RECOMMENDED. ... show more

I used this film to protect my back yard windows where my GSD likes to get our attention by scratching or tapping on the window. The film went on the exterior of the window easily with the soapy (baby shampoo) water and squeegee method I found on YouTube. Film dried clear. Docking 1 star because both ends of the film were crushed in shipping, about 1” because the inner cardboard tube the film was wrapped around was too short to extend the length of the film. I cut off the ends to fit my window size so it didn’t affect me but it would not have been possible to apply the film with the crushed edges. ... show more

I was nervous at first that 4 mil was not going to be enough. I was wrong it was perfect for my glass on my spice cabinet. I have little ones so I wanted to make sure this glass was safe around them. It applied very easily I did buy the installation kit with the spray and squeegee. I will keep this product earmarked for future use. ... show more

We used this on a mirror for my daughter's room. There is a definite haze to the overall look, so we are slightly dissapointed with the level of "clarity" of the film. However, more dissapointing was the fact that we had a crease at the end of the sheet, about 2.5" from the bottom angling to the edge in the middle. If the crease wasn't bad enough, there is no adhesive between the crease and the edge. We needed the whole sheet to cover the mirror and ended up having to use clear packaging tape to hold the deffective edge down. If you get a good sheet, I could see the end user being happy with the product, but with the deffects we ran into, I can't recommend the product. ... show more

I was not totally happy with this product. #1. Reason, I have come to expect a better adhesive properties. ( beings everything now is self adhesive for the most part. #2. Just for the record, any buyer, other than myself, had best have a heat gun. (which was not mentioned in the description, for a selling point). I just happened to have one, I got lucky. #3. DO NOT expect a perfectly smooth look ( it will have lots of bubbles to be smoothed out). That will require, a professional touch, and the right equipment. ... show more
