This umbrella has held up with light use for a couple of years without breaking. It’s lightweight, compact, and keeps you dry, but it’s in no way wind-proof. I got tired of it flipping inside out, so I’m ordering a different kind since it tends to be windy where I live.

Short version: it's an umbrella and it works as advertised. The coverage size is large enough for two. Recommended. TL;DR version: We needed a collapsible umbrella to take to protests, and this was perfect: it protects us from both rain and the hot sun, AND serves us well (with the aid of fat Sharpie marker & a solid education in civics) as an eight-sided, pop-up protest sign.

I recently tried the Gorilla Grip Umbrella, and unfortunately, I was not impressed. While it is lightweight and easy to carry, it claims to withstand winds of up to 23 mph, which it definitely did not do in my experience. During a recent windy day, the umbrella struggled to hold up and flipped inside out, leaving me soaked. If you live in a windy city, I wouldn't recommend this umbrella, as it simply doesn't provide the durability needed for strong gusts. Overall, I was disappointed with its performance and would suggest looking for a more robust option.
