Shoulder pads for the straps are thin and barely helpful when carrying a heavy car seat/base. Neon is easy to identify, lots of places for transfer/gate check tags at the airport. We used this when we had to check our infant carseat when flying to San Diego. It survived flying there and back without any rips or tears. It was very easy to use and surprisingly easier to fold back up. The fact that it has backpack straps on the bag made all the difference when walking into the airport.
