I’ve been struggling quite a bit with keeping my front door rug in place, and it’s been a real challenge. I have two energetic dogs who love to dash around the house, and their playful antics often end up with my rug being all out of whack. On top of that, the corners of my rug tend to curl up, which not only looks messy but also poses a tripping hazard. I was determined to find a solution that wouldn’t involve spending money on a new rug, especially since finding the perfect one to match my farmhouse decor took me ages. After much searching and trying out various options, I finally stumbled upon the Gorilla Grip Extra Wide Dual Sided Rug Grip, and I have to say, it’s been a game-changer. Applying it to my rug was incredibly easy and required almost no effort at all. The process was straightforward: I just peeled off the backing to reveal which side was meant for the rug and which side was for the floor. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I’m thrilled to report that three days later, my rug hasn’t budged an inch. It’s staying put exactly where I want it to, and those pesky curled-up corners are now a thing of the past. It even stayed in place while I vacuumed! All my carpets have Gorilla grip and it does the job. Also, I placed this on an outdoor carpet and it doesn’t move! Wind and rain stays put! I thought to myself, self, if this works this good on carpet then what about a nagging wife?? So I placed it on her mouth… needless to say it has been pretty, pretty, pretty quiet around my house. I needed them to put the edges of my large area rug down. Easy to use work perfectly they will come back up because I tried that out. I’ve really like these. They are pretty wide and I had to cut mine in half so do pay attention to the dimensions if you’ve got something with a pad underneath like I do. ... show more

Review After One Year of Use: This is a product I will keep purchasing again and again. After having used it for one year, I feel comfortable leaving a confident review. PROS: I had this tape on this area rug for an entire year before I replaced it. It’s incredibly sticky, in fact even after a year it still has a lot of tackiness to it. It is the rug side that eventually started pulling up. After being on there for a year, I finally removed the tape today and it left absolutely zero damage or residue. I had to use a putty knife to get it off my floor (yes it is still that sticky) but it pulled right up. Both my floor and my rug are perfectly clean and undamaged - and ready to be re-taped! As you can see from my video, I have a thin woven area rug and this tape keeps it stuck to the ground so well that it holds up to my 85 pound chocolate lab. CONS: There aren’t many. The only negative is in the reusability. The floor side of the tape rinsed off very well, but the rug side did not. Fibers like dog hairs get stuck in that side of the tape and is virtually impossible to remove. Since this was the side that stopped sticking as well after a year, I felt like the best thing to do was just to replace it. For the price and duration of durability, worth it. ... show more

I think I may need the strips, I’m going to try those next. I have a big dog, 3 cats and I have my lovely daughter. I think maybe there’s just too much traffic for 4 corner grippers. Also there were two little pieces that were still stuck and they pulled the stitching out of my rug which I was not happy about. They were very easy to put on. While they worked they worked perfectly, I was even able to vacuum the rug without having a problem. Very sticky, leave no residue. They were compatible with my tile. They are supposed to be reusable but I think just the side that stick to the floor is reusable because the rug side came off and there is no way to clean off the rug side. I did not have to cut anything because they fit perfectly. It’s a good price if they work for you. I think they might work for someone who doesn’t have so much traffic running through their house at all hours. If you do have lots going on you should probably get the other style because you can put it all the way around the rug and some in the middle to help keep it held down. ... show more
