  • Best Option for Stabilized GoPro Footage
Style: Camera Grip
From all the research I have deducted into making this purchase, this is probably the best option for stable video. I brought this gimbal to already several adventures and it has done excellent! Totally recommend it! It is very easy to use and get used to. With this gimbal advertising for only 2 hours of battery life, this may be an inconvenience for many. But I've had this gimbal last me a whole day of tourism and sightseeing. This can also be charged the same time that it is being used to having it being charged all along with you all day is pretty nice. YOU NEED TO BUY THE CASE. This is a necessity and i don't like how gopro charges how much for it. But it is very necessary cuz u wont have a spot to put your gimbal in without the case. ... show more

  • Very stable and comfortable to hold.
Style: Camera Grip
My first Gimbal, makes my videos much more enjoyable to watch and requires less concentration filming as I can hold it haphazardly and it will always remain stable (it does what it's designed to do). Have only used it for a 2 week vacation, but overall it worked great. It did get momentarily confused with finding the horizon on a helicopter ride when taking sharp turns, but it recovered on its own after about 5 seconds. Battery does take several hours to recharge using a 3.0 USB on a laptop. It never died after a day of shooting, but it did drain down to the last indicator and I wasn't filming nonstop. On and off over the course of 12 hours, maybe 2 hours of footage total. Would like a removable battery. On borrowed time before the it starts losing capacity, but should be 3 or 4 years down the road. I'll likely drop this on its head before then anyway. ... show more

  • Works just as expected!
Style: Camera Grip
I had a connectivity problem between camera and grip at first which I resolved by removing the camera from the grip and reinserting the camera a couple of times. Maybe the contact pins were new and needed to be worked in a little. Now it works fine. Also, all of the latest updates for camera and grip should be installed. Now that I have played with it for a few days, I love it. It works just as expected. I just bought the Karma Grip Extension Cable and it works perfectly as well. So far, I am happy with the whole set up and can't wait to put it to a real test out on some real adventure. ... show more

  • Great stabilizer
Style: Camera Grip
The Karma Grip works as advertised and is very easy to use. I mostly it now for a separate angle when recording youth basketball games. I have a primary 4K camera but can use the GoPro for more near-court action shots. The stabilizer is amazing. The only issue I’ve found is that the camera battery can sometimes drain to zero if left in the Karma Grip overnight. I have not determined if this is a problem with the camera or Karma Grip yet so I just remove the battery until I’m ready to record. ... show more

  • GoPro gimbal for those buttery smooth shots.
Style: Camera Grip
What can I say, it does it's job. Footage is smooth as butter. The battery is not removable and doesn't last long so make sure and charge it up as often as possible. The hand controls are very nice to have, the record button, lock, power/mode and clip marker are very helpful. This is a great product despite the non removable battery and short battery life. Works with Hero 7 Black too! ... show more

  • On Point
Style: Camera Grip
I have only gone out three times since the purchase, but this gimbal works perfect with my GoPro Hero 7 Black. I had a quark prior to applying firmware updates, but afterwards it has proven to work like a charm. The one downside is that it did not come with a case, so I had to make a separate purchase. The unboxing YouTube videos I had seen were packaged with a case, so GoPro must have decided to do things a little different then they once did. ... show more

  • It doesn't control a Hero 6 Black.
Style: Camera Grip
Does not work with the Hero 6 Black. I returned one and got a 2nd one and neither one would control the Hero 6. The stabilizing part works, but the buttons on the grip don't control the camera, like they're supposed to. I spent over an hour with a GoPro support person trying to resolve the problem. Both the grip and the camera had the latest firmware. I got a new Hero 6 Black for Christmas, and purchased a Grip from a retail store shortly there after. When you turn on the grip, it's supposed to turn on the camera, but it doesn't. There's a button on the grip to change modes, from video to photo, that doesn't work. There's a shutter button on the grip to start/stop video recording, or take a picture, depending on mode. That doesn't work either. The camera is getting "charged" from the grip, so they're connected. The grip doesn't communicate with the camera at all. I returned the first Grip, and bought one from Amazon, but it doesn't control the camera either. The stabilizing works, but you have to push the camera's power button and shutter button, which causes the camera to move, negating the benefit of an stabilizer. I've tried 2 grips, neither worked. But I don't know if the problem is the grip or my new Hero 6 camera. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter - it doesn't work. There's also a subtle high pitched whine from the stabilizer motors. I could live with that, because most of the time I mute the audio in post-production and lay down a music track. If there's any noise going on where you're filming, it will drown out the whine. I only heard it when filming in a quiet room. ... show more
