GoPro HERO4 Silver Edition Action Camcorder (Certified Refurbished) camera works fine. since its refurbished i wasnt suprised that it came with absolutely ZERO documentation/instructions. However I WAS SUPRISED AND ANGERED that it came with CHEAP AFTERMARKET CASE. This is NOT the original case. Does NOT have any GOPRO labels (as my friends case and all the good cases online videos show)...and I wouldnt even CARE that much EXCEPT that it leaks. VERY first day. Thank GOD i was in fresh water and realized it and immediately pulled it and dried in the sun! So ALMOST bricked a 200dollar brand new camera just cause this reseller decided to put it in an aftermarket case AND ADVERTISED that ALL THE ACCESSORIES were ORIGINAL. buyer beware..now I have to order and wait for another case before I dare to use my new camera. ADDENDUM...have just finished the famous "paper towel test" and the case FAILED MISERABLY. Was submerged 2 meters in a pool for 1 hour..made sure to close the door super tight and CLIP closed nice and crisp. NO IDEA if the water is entering from the lens, the buttons, or the door seal. But its NOT ORIGINAL GOPRO as the seller ADVERTISES. AMAZON? Why do you allow this person to continue to sell on your platform with all the negative REVIEWS? ... show more

    • Save your money, not really refurbished

Would not recommend purchasing from this seller. It is clearly not a certified refurbished camera. There was dirt, dust, and a pine needle inside the box on my GoPro when I opened it up. There were also small particles of dirt on the GoPro itself as well as the lens being dirty. Furthermore, after some use I continually got an SD ERR message. It was baffling. I am a very technologically savvy person and it took reflashing the entire camera as well as performing a wipe of the sd card from a Linux computer to allow any videos or pictures to be recorded. I lost countless videos and pictures because I did not realize that the GoPro was not recording. I will be contacting Amazon once I am home to see if I can return this and get either a new one or another refurbished model because for a "certified refurbished" model this is ridiculous. I would understand if this was a cheap Xiaomi Yi action camera or something similar but as this was a very large purchase I expected much more especially from both GoPro and Amazon. Unfortunately I will need to purchase another GoPro because I do drone photography and aerial video and my gimbal is only made for a GoPro otherwise I would stay away from the brand after this experience. In conclusion, I would highly recommend just getting another camera if you can or if you need a GoPro don't waste your time with a "refurbished" model, just buy a new one to attempt to mitigate these issues. ... show more

Can't go higher than 2-stars because it's a very misleading product. You do get an insert which says Kanga is an 'Amazon Certified Refurbished Seller' but as far as what you get the only thing that's original Go-Pro is the camera. Nothing else is Go-Pro, not the case, the USB cable, nor the battery. Considering all that, the price isn't all that good compared to just buying certified refurbished from Go-Pro directly for $229. I made this purchase because gopro was out of stock and I needed two cameras immediately. I'll update with a report on the cameras themselves after I use them. ... show more

    • Junk! Arrived broken
This was intended to be a B-Day present. Arrived looking brand new but was total junk! It did not work-at all. Would not even power on. I contacted GoPro support and they confirmed it was no good. Offered to replace (since it is certified refurbished) but this process would have taken several weeks. Returned to Amazon and bought my son the Hero5 Session (in store) and only increased my purchase price by $20.00. I will never purchase refurbished again from Amazon.     • but I'll start off with good, then the bad
First off I'm an amateur GoPro user, but I'll start off with good, then the bad. The GoPro it's self is great! From my first impression to now concerning the Hero 4 silver its self, so much more to offer than the 3 white and 3+ silver, that I currently have, the touch screen makes things so much easier to manage; filming, shooting pictures and customizing the settings are a breeze, compared to the previous models. Now the cons; like I said, the 4 is great, but I would NEVER buy from this seller again, the camera came with a cheap after-market battery with dimensions that are slightly smaller than the original battery. I ended up having to get an official GoPro battery, cause the camera would shut OFF if the battery wasn't put in JUST right. The other problem was the front paneling was bent out on the edge; which leads me to believe that GoPro was tampered with, not exactly what you'd call a refurbished item. If it wasn't for those two things I totally would have given this review this 4, maybe 5 stars. Nevertheless can't wait to see you what more this GoPro can do! ... show more

be very careful with this item and company, the first product i got was a half empty box, with no camera and a battery just a battery, customer service is excellent, i got a replacement, the replacement product, does not work, will not turn on, will not work at all, i even bought new batteries to try and see if that was the problem just a waste of time with this company be very careful ... show more

    • Everything Checks Out as a Good Replacement
After reading the negative reviews here I was worried about buying this refurbished camera. The camera arrived when expected packed in a secure brown box with a divider for the camera/case and another for the additional components. Everything was like new with no noticeable scratches or flaws. The waterproof case is identical to my original case. The additional components included a battery, mini-USB cable, clips and mounts. It did not come with a microSD nor was one expected. After charging the included battery I checked all functions of the camera and everything works as expected. I believe this is going to be a good replacement to my water damaged GoPro 4 Silver and I look forward to using it on my next snorkeling adventure. ... show more
