    • The Saw Requires a Great Deal of Adjustment
I did my new table saw properly adjusted and cutting reasonable well (square and parallel) but it required a great deal of effort to make the saw right. The riving knife was well out of adjustment on receipt. While the riving knife bracket does have sufficient adjustment, the bracket holding the knife had a bend that should have been 90 degrees but was actually 84 degrees. To get the bracket to adjust properly and get the riving knife parallel with the blade, I had to remove the riving knife, disassemble the unit, clamp the bracket in a 6" vice and use a pry bar to "adjust" the bracket angle to 90 degree. That took about 1.5 hrs. The saw blade and motor was also well out of square compared to the table, the rip fence, and the miter T-slot on receipt. Measuring from the miter T-slot to the front of the blade compared to the measurement at the back of the blade was off by 1/4". This would have caused significant binding between the rip fence and the blade. Again, there are provisions for adjusting the motor/blade to be parallel with the miter T-slot but the nuts locking down the adjustment brackets were very difficult to get loose. There is very little space to get a box end wrench over the 10mm nuts and two the 6 nuts are near impossible to get a wrench on. I tired 6 and 12 pt sockets, open end and box end wrenches, and short open end wrenches. Finally, I figured out if I removed the 90 degree stop screw, I could get enough of the short open end wrench on the worst of the 6 nuts and got it loose. Once all the nuts were loosened, I was able to adjust the motor mount to get the blade parallel with the miter T-slot. This took about 3.5 hrs. Once I got the motor and blade adjusted parallel to the T-slot, I had to readjust the 90 degree and 45 degree stops for the blade angle. That took about 30 minutes. The saw stand assembly and mounting the saw onto the stand took another hour. That exercise was about normal. Once I got everything adjusted, I made several test cuts and the saw, AFTER ADJUSTMENT, cuts pretty well. I still have to figure out how to shim the miter T-slot as there is too much slop between the miter gauge T-bar and the T-slot. Not quite sure how I'll fix that but I'll figure something out. Bottom line: Do NOT plan on simply buying this saw, assembling the saw, and putting it to use. It required a lot of work to get the saw adjusted properly. Without making those adjustments, the saw would have made very inaccurate cuts, would have bound up the blade making friction burn marks on the ripped edges, and could have resulted in wood being kicked back at the user. ... show more

I dont think ive ever seen a product, at any price, thats so thoughtfully designed. The way they allow storage of all accessories should be imitated by ALL competition. The saw is light enough to move around easily, yet durable and solid enough to be accurate and safe. It was the best priced saw of its kind, but it is by FAR the best product for the kowest price. I received my saw in working condition with some aesthetic issues. I contacted customer service and I cannot say enough good things about them. I HAVE ONLY USED IT 2 TIMES SO FAR , IT CUTS WELL BUT IS VERY DUSTY *SAWDUST ALL OVER THE PLACE) U WILL NEED A SHOPVAC TO CLEAN UP AFTER YOU USE IT
