  • seems to be a great phone
I like the locking features on this phone - fingerprint scanning and also a lock screen with dot pattern. The sound quality is very good, and the battery has a long life.

  • If you want one of the best photo-quality phones for the price, this is it!
GREAT photos. Recharges very quickly. Battery probably only lasts me the day (every night recharging required).

  • The screens all have pink bars of discoloration
I bought 3 pixels from this seller. They all have screen issues. PLEASE DO NOT BUY anything from this seller. I contacted them and they said they indicated the screens were bad on the Amazon page... NOPE. At the time of purchasing, there was no information about the screens or any other parts being defective. 0/10 would not buy again. ... show more

  • A little disappointing
Pro: The camera is excellent. The nocturnal features are amazing. Pro: No annoying bloatware. Pro: Smooth, speedy operation. Con: The screen is really dim and hard to see outdoors in bright light. My previous phone was an Xperia Z1 Compact. To make sure I wasn't mistaken, I set my Pixel 3a to maximum brightness and then I set the brightness of the Xperia to match it. At half brightness, the Xperia was as bright as the Pixel at full brightness. Con: I'm very disappointed in the battery life. I've never been able to get to the end of the day without recharging. When I'm out all day, I carry a battery pack with me to recharge my phone. Again, the Xperia Z1 Compact had a much better battery life. I was looking for a small phone with excellent hardware, a good camera, a decent amount of RAM, and sufficient storage for my purposes. There are very few small phones with the other characteristics, and this is probably my best option, since Sony is no longer offering top quality small phones. I'm not sorry I bought it, but I'm not overwhelmed by its quality. (The Xperia ZQ was also aesthetically more pleasing, with a metal case rather than plastic. I don't know who decided to make the power button a tangerine color, but it does nothing for the appearance.) ... show more

  • Bad battery out of box
I suspect this phone is not actually new. The battery was completely dead (0%) when it arrived. It's really bad to store a LI battery in this condition for a long time. The phone crashes constantly with various apps. In fact, if performs worse than my old pixel 3a that i was trying to replace!

  • Don't expect any consumer loyalty from Google
I didn't buy the pixel from Amazon but straight from Google. The only thing it has going for it is lack of preinstalled junk and first platform to be updated. My camera stopped working around Christmas I put in a ticket to their help desk, it was Christmas so I had better things going on than to deal with then them not listening and running through their checklist of things I tried to explain were not applicable. When I was less busy I followed back up and lo and behold by then it was out of warranty even though when it stopped working it was in warranty. They absolutely would not budge and just gave the most generic canned responses. You can never speak over the phone and not even directly over chat with a supervisor. I could've accepted a no, but it's like they wouldn't even listen to reason or offer any explanation other than as of today's date it's out of warranty. After googling around it seems like very poor customer experience is a common occurrence. Would not recommend. ... show more
