First of all, the color on this jacket is just really great. It's surprisingly neutral and goes with a lot of colors. The style of the jacket is nice and I like the overall look. However, it's a pretty boxy and bulky jacket. I'm not the smallest person, and it just feels like I'm wearing a lot of fabric. I picked this up in Dark Olive Green, I like the sort of military surplus vibe of this jacket. I've gotten some items from Goodthreads before, I've always been impressed with them. This is no different. I love that it is almost entirely cotton, the fabric is much softer than I'd imagined, a velvety brushed feeling with a bit of stretch. The dark olive color has a lot of variation to is as well, a lot of depth and shading to the dye job. It's well constructed with four usable pockets and large hidden buttons on the front (with a spare button included inside). The fit is slightly cropped and boxy, it gives it a unisex feel. I think it fits the way it should, it's got room but is not meant to be a close fitting jacket. For reference I got my usual size, XS and am 5'5", 110lb, 32C-25-32. The sleeves are a perfect length, the bottom of the jacket hits right at the top of the hip, if you are very tall I think it might be more of cropped look. It's not too heavy, it would be great for spring and fall on it's own, or layered more in the winter. It does fit under my coat, it's not too bulky. The care instructions are pretty straightforward, it also includes a warning to wash before you wear and the color can transfer to light fabrics. I've really enjoyed all the Goodthreads pieces I have, sometimes I feel like everything is synthetic/polyester these days. It's hard to find things made out of good material at a reasonable price, I highly recommend this jacket. It is a fantastic basic, it would be a great jacket to add some patches to. ... show more

I love this cute jacket. It is made of very sturdy fabric and includes an extra button. I would say the burnt orange is more of a rusty color but very pleasing. I washed the jacket before wearing as per the instructions. Definitely wash it by itself. A lot of the dye came out. I tumbled dry on medium heat and it did not shrink. The color faded a bit but I like the look and it made the fabric feel less stiff. I usually wear a large shirt size and this fit perfectly over a single layer top. If you think you will wear more layers underneath, I would recommend one size larger. ... show more

This reminds me of a lighter weight jacket one might have gotten from a major brand 20 years ago, although then it would have been US made. Good fabric, cut and construction. Color is just as hoped for. Versatile and can be cleaned up at home.

Barn jackets or chore jackets are very popular now because they are so versatile. This one is very nicely made. The buttons are under a placard, so they are covered when you close the jacket. I usually wear a medium and I ordered a large because I like a loose fit. This fits exactly as I expected. If I got the medium I don't think it would be comfortable with a sweatshirt underneath, and layering with this is helpful. I love the style. The material seems thick and nice. The jacket hits just below the waist, so if you are looking for a longer jacket to cover your bottom half, this isn't it.
