The camera is really decent quality, the image is pretty clear on the screen and sound comes through well. It is a bit tricky to get the right angle without it being mounted on the wall, I wish i could swivel the camera down a bit more. But by setting it on top of some things and angling it downwards I can get a really good view. I really like that the monitor tells me the temp of the room! This is the best baby monitor ever! It was really important to my husband and I to get something that does not connect to wi-fi or internet. We did not want creeps to get into the network and spy on the baby (believe me, it happens more than you think!) This monitor works so well. It is easy to set up, and the picture quality is good enough to see what the baby is doing. We bought it for our first in 2022 and again for our second earlier this year in 2024, and it looks like the picture quality had an upgrade. It is so simple to move the monitor from one room to the other. I recently used it to watch my sick kid while working from home. I moved it out of her bedroom and into the living room. I had it posted at my desk so I could see her without distractions or worry. You can sit it up on a table, or there is an option to hang from the wall. There is a zoom in feature, and the talk feature which is also great. So if my husband is in the room and he needs a baby bottle, he could tell me and I can communicate back to him that I am on the way. It has a music feature as well, but we have a different sound machine for that so we don't use the music feature too much. The best part is the ECO-MODE! The screen has the ability to go into sleep mode so the screen is not on all night, nor are the noises from her bedroom. You can choose the monitor to go off when a certain level of sound is activated, and only then it will go off. We will be able to hear and see our kid quickly and we can tend to her needs. If it doesn't go off at all during the night, we know she slept soundly. It just gives great peace of mind and the simplicity of it can't be beat! ... show more

This is the second monitor I have bought. I'm watching two of my grandson's now and although I have another brand of monitor for my second grandson, it frustrated me so I purchased another one of these. The other brand kept turning off when there was no movement and the piture was very grainy. I also was having a hard time hearing anything on it and the battery was dying. I know this monitor is trustworthy and it was everything the other monitor wasn't. My original review: The picture is very clear and I liked how simple it was to use. I wanted a baby camera that allowed me to view the child all the time while the unit was on, not something that was only voice or movement activated. This camera allows me to watch, at a glance, the child sleeping or waking up, without punching buttons to see what’s going on. I like this “peace of mind.” It’s compact yet has lots of the great functions that the expensive cameras have. The battery life is really good considering how long I have the unit on and the picture is present on the screen. The only issue I have found and corrected my own use of the monitor is the sound. The sound is located in the back, so don't have your parental unit laying down (use the support legs to prop it up). Also, be careful with sound machines and vaporizers around it, as they dull the sound and picture that comes back to you on your parental unit, I have noticed. When my parental unit is turned up to high and the monitor, itself, is only 3 feet away from the crib , I have a hard time hearing anything in the crib unless it’s loud crying when my unit in the child's room is by the sound machine (and it's on). I know some of you will say duh, but I am just letting you know as you set up your child's room. I’ve tried 3 other monitors and I finally found this one. It’s a great monitor !
