I purchased this product for a job that required my camera be running for very long periods of time without fail. I’ve since moved on from that opportunity due to other work, but held on to this dummy battery. Decent build quality, and it powers my camera for live streaming nicely. Beats having to have to replace the battery every time it dies, as I need to use the single usb-c port on my Sony FX30 for data transfer/displaying my camera on my laptop. It’s compatible with all Sony cinema cameras, and it doesn’t get too hot. Fits nicely in my fx30, but wish my camera let me close the battery lid while powering it up. Battery life sits at two different power levels, depending on what your wattage is (I think?). Overall, great product, and something I’ll be using much of in the future!

Saves batteries life! Works perfectly in an A7R5. Although the Sony battery door does not have to be removed when using power supply, it cannot be closed. So to prevent accidentally breaking it, check Google on how to remove the battery door; easy to do and easier to reattach.

I tried a couple of the cheaper brands available to power my camera but this SmallRig brand adapter ended up being the brand that didn't cause the warning popup on the screen about 3rd party batteries. It is worth spending a little extra for the brand and much easier to use day to day. I use it to power my Sony DSLR that I use as a webcam on my PC. It feels well built and I have had no issues using it in a smart switch that I can control from a Stream Deck on my desktop.

Got this for my Sony FX-30. It does what it says it does, but the form factor is cumbersome. The chords are kind of all over the place and it’s hard to pack into a small form factor which means it takes up more space than it needs to. It works though and that’s the important thing. Stoked that it’s so affordable so 4 stars. No issues with heat or power level.

It is absolutely perfect. The length is just enough to reach my camera and outlet with ample room to move around. Build quality is great so you don't have to worry about any cable getting damaged or cut and the module itself is solid. I've had it on for 3 hours in my Sony a7cii and it haven't overheated once. Thermals are managed pretty well. Overall, everything seems to match my expectations, now all I need to do is just allow it to go through the test of time to see how well it holds up. But I do trust the smallrig brand, so I believe that it will hold up for a long time. One more thing I forgot to mention is that the whole unit is split up into 3 different connecting sections so I'm assuming it will be easy to replace any section of any were to get damaged. Overall this power supply is a great buy.
