Easy and accurate
Color: Black
I don't write many reviews, but I am compelled to write this review to clarify some misconceptions that are clearly due to operator error. First, several people complained that the device is not accurate-- that it consistently underestimates yardage. Ummm.... this appears to be true only because the device is showing the distance in meters instead of yards. (I have inadvertently changed the measurement units a couple of times myself, but realized my mistake.) I have found battery life to be great. I can easily get 8 hours of use from a single charge. I suspect that those getting poor battery life have either a bad micro-usb cable (who ever thought micro usb was a good thing!!??) or perhaps a charger that is malfunctioning. I might also get better battery life because I do not use the voice. Another complaint is that it sometime reads the wrong hole if you pass a tee box or hit into the wrong fairway, and that there is no way to fix that problem. The device displays the hole it is reading, and it is, in fact, very simple to change holes being displayed--read the instructions before complaining, people! I have had my unit for about 2 years and have played hundreds of rounds with absolutely no problem. It is very accurate when compared to my rangefinder, which I now only use on unfamiliar courses to find distances to hazards. There are limits to the GPS--like all GPS devices, it reads as the crow flies so that severe doglegs are underestimated, and this GPS has no distance to hazard function. Having this GPS definitely speeds up play because it is continuously measuring distance as you move, so that unlike with a rangefinder, there is no stop, press a button and wait for a distance. Although I don't use it this function, it is worth mentioning that you can also measure the distance of shots after they are made. This is a basic unit, but what it does do, it does well.

This product is awesome and I no longer go golfing without it

Not even water resistant
Color: Black
I have only used it once and it was super accurate. The button sequences are also easy to remember. The only concern was that once I read the disclaimer, I found ... "Keep away from water or high humidity" "If any type of liquid of substance gets on the device, use the cloth in the package to remove it immediately." I play in Texas in the summer so there is going to be some sweat involved. ALSO ... checking their webpages found that there is now a golf buddy 2 se. The newer 'se' has a 20 hour battery life.

So convenient to use.
Color: Black
I love this little buddy. This is my second purchase since my puppy chewed up the first one. I wear this on my hat so it is always with me and I can turn the volume down so I am the only one who hears it. I also purchased a Golf Buddy for my daughter.

Best golf tool ever, very accurate and helps with my club selection and reduced my score
Color: Black
Love this device, small, rechargeable, accurate and really helps lower your golf score by providing an accurate distance to green center. I feel my score has improved just knowing the accurate distance and correct club selection. I clip mine to the bill of my hat and always take it to play golf.

Accurate and easy to use!
Color: White/Blue
I have tried other range finders and none work as easy or accurately. I use the wristband for easy of viewing, however it is large. It is so valuable at range distances that I don’t mind. Most folks seem to clip theirs to their caps.

Can't play without it.
Color: White/Blue
This is my 3rd one in the last maybe 10 years. First one accidentally went through the wash. That generation required a little rubber bootie over it. Didn't help. Thought the electronics fries as it would not turn on. Put it in dry rice for a week a long and behold, it worked again. But not having much faith in the rice therapy at the start, and not wanting to go without one, I ordered another. The new one was a step up from the prior generation. Looked and worked about the same, but no longer needed the rubber bootie and the battery life was greatly improved. The first generation hardly made it through a full round. Somehow I lost that one and am on my third. I use in conjunction with a Bushnell range finder. I have the GolfBuddy set on middle of green and use the range finder to pinpoint exact distance and to figure out where on the green the flag is off the middle reading from the GB. Works great together. I have it clipped to the right side of my cap. I automatically tap it as I get to my ball. Perfect system for me. My only complaint is that the battery indicator can't be seen while charging or without turning on the device. Also, a little tricky getting it back to the correct hole when you spray one too far onto the next fairway. Overall, a great tool for any level of golfer. Highly recommend.
