My husband and I golf frequently, and as with many golfers we... on occasion... lose a ball or two here and there. We recently misplaced our golf ball retriever a few months ago and my search for a new one began. I looked at several different makes/models and kept coming back to this design. It is very similar to the one we had previously. Due to its design it allows for balls to be picked up at varied angles, from pretty long distances (which is a huge bonus) and makes retrieving balls very quick.. so, it keeps your golf game moving! One this arrived I was quick to note how sturdy this one felt in comparison to our old one. The grip fits well in hand and seems to be made of a non-slip material, which is very important when playing on rainy days. Once it is retracted it stores easily in our bag without taking up much room.

I’ve owned this for about two months and it worked for a couple rounds then stopped retrieving balls. Last round a screw fell out and now it’s broken. I guess you get what you pay for.

As someone who has recently come back to playing golf, I am real good at finding the woods and water. With this retriever it has helped me get at least some of my balls back without getting wet or poison ivy. Incredibly easy to use and I love the telescoping feature. It is incredibly light and fits perfectly in the umbrella holder on my bag. I love that it has a scoop and a grabber for getting your ball.

I liked the idea that this retriever rod had. Spring loaded golf ball grabber. Only problem was that the "pins" or "screws" holding them in fell off and I barely used it. Just kept it in my golf bag. I did grab a fair amount of golf balls with it before it broke but the head unit was poorly put together. The rectractable metal pole was of nice quality but didn't matter. I wish I saw the gentlemen's fix for the pins/screws before I threw it out. But I threw it away out of frustration and didn't think to replace the pins with new screws and bolts. Oh well. I've ordered a Callaway golf ball retriever which looks like much better overall quality. I guess you get what you pay for. Shame because I didn't like the mechanics of how the head of this unit worked.
