The mesh is small enough to keep out birds but large enough to allow bees to pass. The galvanizing is well applied overall but still cuts easily with wire cutters. Secured to T-posts it makes a great barrier against deer and other munching critters. This item was purchased before for another project, it worked well so I'm back for more! Great stuff.

An update; The company has been very awesome and understanding resolving our issues. We were offered a prompt response and resolved the issues quickly. I don't think this will keep my ducks safe while they are in their pen. Will need supervision. My husband managed to kick a hole right through it while we were installing. Will not purchase more of this, may have to use for another project.

This wire mesh is fantastic! We have used it to cover our crawl space door and foundation vents for our home. We have also used it as a barrier under the foundation on the face of our deck to keep rats and mice from gaining access to under our deck. It lays flat, it doesn't weather and it is heavy duty enough to withstand being chewed by rodents. Very happy with this product.
