We bought this to surround newly planted sycamore trees along the lake shore in the woods - a deer sanctuary. The fencing is thick metal, well covered with the coating. It is easy to cut and work with in the field. From the lake (maybe 30'-50'), the fencing is not noticeable, unless you look really hard. We received the planted trees along with plastic animal tree protection guards to go around the tree. Unfortunately that assumes maybe 5"-8" of space round the tree for the height of the guards. In our case, the trees came with branches all the way up, so need more space around the trunk. In addition, the guards don't seem to allow the sun to get in well and allow new branches to grow. Using this fencing worked well for the tree, leaves and for watering.

I used it with: 18 Pack Chain Link Fence Extension, 25.2'' Fence Extension Height, Galvanized Post Extender for Dogs and Privacy (1-3/8'', Black) and Metal Zip Ties (100PCS 11.8 Inch), 304 Stainless Steel, Heavy Duty Self-locking Cable Ties, for Chain Link Fence Parts, and a little wire. It looks professional and seems to work great.
