We wanted this wider length as we're building a 4 unit breeding pen out of a shed. The outdoor pens will be encased with this. We're done with the roof, and on to the sides. I'll add a picture when done. We live borderline a forest and farmers fields, but even if we lived in town, we'd use this 1/2" hardware cloth to keep the chickens safe. We've already been using it for other pens here and had a skunk and a fox circling the pens looking for a way in, but didn't try. A bear could get through it I imagine, but the ones here don't go for the chickens, so far. If anyone has a rat issue in their coop, cover all openings with this.
