    • Works good but is difficult to store and noisy
The sieve works great and the two sizes complement each other perfectly. They are all metal and so quite durable. These will probably be around for decades working even if they get a bit battered. I am glad i bought them. However, i do not like the extending arms for suspending the lower sieve over a container. I like the idea of having something to hold it and adapt it to different size containers. i just don't like this implementation. This one is a permanent mount which is annoying and cumbersome. It also makes it difficult to clean for those of us who occassionally miss the target. And lastly, they make the normally single piece sieve noisy. The arms clang in and out and rattle as you carry them. It would have been far better to have an expanding arm rack that the sieve sits on. Less rattle, super easy cleaning, and you can include a silicone belt to keep it all organised for storage or travel. So i really wanted to give this the full 5, but the annoyance of those arms just builds up over time. So in good conscience i have to dock it. ... show more

It's all metal, the arms to hold it over a bucket are retractable for storage and I wish they were a little more rigid. They flex a bit more than I would like. It is two strainer sieves that fit into each other, the top is a wider mesh and the bottom a little more fine. It is made with small heat welds and they have some marks from them still. There is some staining on the metal from it and I wonder over time if some of them will come loose as they are very small and wouldn't hurt to have twice as many. Honey is surprisingly heavy and I wouldn't mind it if it were thicker and more sturdy overall. It does work and is well made enough to get the job done. While these are not the highest quality strainers like we've used before, for the price they are pretty nice and they work well with light use. Great for the novice just starting out. I tried em, I liked em. Think you will too.

    • Good strainers, wire supports a bit flimsy
I only process about 100lbs of honey a year, thought it would be a good idea to have a second set of strainers ready while the first set is doing its thing. The strainer parts are just as good as my other set, the expandible wire supports are not as tight and look like the might bend after filling with honey. Fine on the first run, just not as confident over time. Price point made them good for spares though. ... show more

    • This worked very well.
So due to a hive error on my daughter's part we ended up having to remove a large piece of comb. This created a tidal wave of honey in the hive and so much in comb outside that I didn't know what to do. I then remembered I had gotten this, and it enabled me to drain most of the honey out of the comb. It made it alot easier to save what honey we could. ... show more

Not fine enough to strain cold brew coffee. But fine enough for like apple sauce or something. Quality is exceptional.

We love this fine mesh strainer. We like to make homemade pasta sauce and this does a good job of filtering out the tomato seeds. It is very sturdy and works well for what we use it for.
