I bought this as a replacement for a watch that had a slightly larger display, but was way thick. So this thin watch with a display nearly as large was a welcome change. The watch is a nearly perfect fit across my wrist area without being too big. I like the display color, that kind of bronze color with a black background, and the back-light of course if needed. Had day of week, time, date, stopwatch, alarm. All I really need, and can set time to 12 or 24 hours. The band is working fine so far, but only had it a couple days. Maybe upgrade that to something more comfortable and known for durability, perhaps a leather band or something instead of this plastic one. ... show more

Super slim watch, comfortable and really a good looking watch. It honestly looks like a more expensive watch. And it was actually easy to set the date and time! The light works well and looks like the Timex indiglo. I would definitely recommend for anyone that like a great watch but don't like spending a ton of money on it ... show more

The battery for my Ironman watch died, and when i was unsuccessful at replacing it, I decided to just buy a new watch. When I saw the price for this compared to an Ironman watch, I was skeptical, but decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. This watch is elegant but no frills, it has all the needed functions like stopwatch, etc. It has a great heft to it which makes it feel like it'll last forever. My only complaint is that the nighttime backlight isn't as strong as I would prefer. I'm not really a watch guy, but I like this one so much I actually enjoy keeping it on. I've gone thru a lot of these ultra-thin watches in the past decade. I replace the cheap plastic band with an elastic one and slap a tempered glass protector over the face. They usually last a year or so. This one is still going strong well past that, so it gets two thumbs up from me! And it's easy to set, because the mode button takes you right there. (As opposed to holding down a "set" button like on other watches.) This model takes a 22mm elastic band and a 36mm Harfington tempered glass protector, both available on Amazon. I go thru two or three bands and at least five protectors annually. As you can see from the image, the watch still looks brand new over a year later! ... show more

Not sure why wrist watches have become so large and heavy, especially since in a watch, size does not matter. Though larger in diameter than I care for, the Golden Hour GH1313 being thin is a big plus and on my postal scale, it weighs in at 1.3oz (38g). Received the watch on 12/06 and it is very easy to set up the time and the date. It has a stopwatch function, which I'll probably never use, and an alarm which will come in handy when I travel. The oversized watch dial is very visible and the pretty aqua colored light is plenty bright enough and remains on for about 3 secs. Overall, a nice watch for the price... I have included some photos and you may notice that the date for Saturday in December is 19, but if you look at the calendar you will see that the 19th in December is a Tuesday. So of course you're thinking, 'well. the twit set the watch up wrong' and that is the exact thing I thought. So I went back and worked to get the thing properly set and as I scrolled through the 31 days available to set for the date, I became disappointed in my brand new watch. In my photos, I could have of course set any date for any day and claimed foul in the hopes that the vendor would ship me a new watch just to shut me up. However, one of the photos shows the date as 38 and 39 and there is no way for me to fudge those. Those two numbers show for the 28th (38), the 29th (39), the 30th (38), and the 31st (39). The other inaccurate dates are the 8th (18), 9th (19), 10th (28), and the 11th (29). So if I can't trust the calendar, how can I trust the time? ... show more

This product is impressive in relation to the sales price. VERY light weight and comfortable. Appears to be study enough to last for at least several years, perhaps considerably longer. Battery is a common and relatively inexpensive CR2016, which is reached through four tiny screws on the back plate. The one-year guarantee doesn't cover the watch face cover, which may suggest it is easily scratched in normal use. The other concern is the poorly thought out watch setting instructions, which require the purchaser to read very carefully to the end to learn the button press sequence. ... show more
