Godox X3 Pro showed up a few days ago and I’ve been using it with my FujiFilm X-H2 & my X100vi. It has performed flawless. Making adjustments to the configuration via the touchscreen as well as the scroll knob works great. In my case it will mostly live on my X-H2, working with my Godox Lux Master Retro, operating handheld doing Motorcycle & ride related photography. Charging is straightforward via the USB C port on the side of the trigger. I’ve used it with both Manual & TTL modes, and worked fine. One little whoops on my part, I accidentally put the trigger in firmware update mode. Once in that mode, it is waiting for a firmware update. I looked on the Godox support site, currently the firmware is not available yet. I reached out to Godox support to understand how to get that resolved, and they were super responsive. Thanks Annie! I really like this trigger. I’ve yet to use the BlueTooth app yet, because it works so well from the interface. I feel this trigger is a great value for the money and it just works.

I’ve long wanted to explore off-camera lighting for portraits and events, but Nikon’s gear has always been too expensive. The X3Pro, paired with flash units and accessories, costs less than a single Nikon wireless trigger. This compact unit features a bright 2.4-inch touchscreen and a USB-C rechargeable battery that lasts ages—perfect for my amateur needs. For now, I keep things simple: handholding the flash outdoors to shape light direction, or bouncing it off ceilings and walls indoors. The results have been great. My portraits have lost that harsh “deer in the headlights” glare. I’ve barely scratched the surface of the X3Pro’s features, and I doubt I’ll ever outgrow it.

I received the Godox X3 Pro yesterday and put it through a quick shakedown. So far, it’s been excellent. Charging: Topped up from 65% to 100% via USB‑C very quickly. Bluetooth/App: Connected to the iOS app on the first try with no fuss. On‑unit control: Adjusting settings from the screen is straightforward and fast. Flash control: Set my Godox AD200 to both Manual and TTL and switched back and forth without issues. On‑camera use: Controlled the flashes reliably from a Canon R5—no misfires, no glitches. What I haven’t tried yet: the shutter remote control feature, so I can’t comment on that part. Bottom line: A smooth, modern trigger that just works. If you’re pairing with a Canon R5 and AD200, this has been plug‑and‑play for me so far. Highly recommended.
