  • Awesome Flash!
Great flash! Pretty much plug and play. Works seamlessly with the godox trigger I purchased with it . Battery last FOREVER! Build quality feels nice. It has a good weight to it and for the price it’s a no brainer. Just get it !

  • Pentax people This Actually Works!
Being a Pentax shooter it's hard to find 3rd party items that work as they are described. This product does absolutely everything they say it will. HSS off camera with a trigger is absolutely perfect no more black bars. Not to mention this light is powerfull enough to work in broad daylight even with out a soft box. Great job Godox. Next I'm going to get a AD200 and use this 850 as a backlight or just a secondary. ... show more

  • Works well!
It’s a little tricky figuring this out at first bc you pretty much have to shoot in manual (I don’t think it has ttl option unless I overlooked it) but it works great!

  • May the Flash be with you
Shooting flash photography isn't that hard, especially if you have this Godox V850II. I got it, I charged it, I used it, We shot a 10-hour senior portrait session with 10 different locations, and the battery for this flash lasted all day, needless to say, I was very impressed. This flash will always be with me on any shoot I have from here on. Highly recommended!!! ... show more

  • This is a manual flash and it works very well
This is a amazing product, it works and has things that the TTL version does not like a light that send out to help your camera focus that was really nice to have

  • Godox V850 Flash - highly recommended.
Works great, reliable - if you keep it between 1/4 - 1/2 power you have instantaneous recharges and you can go and go and go. I bought this to replace an Interfit Strobie at less than half the price - I carry this with a Canon 600EX Speedlight (coupled with a Quantum Turbo battery, that combination cost about $1,000 - now for less than $100, I have comparable performance. As with any flash, if you crank out a lot of shots quickly, you can overheat them - sometimes during an event that can especially be a pitfall to avoid. I use the Godox with the Canon - if one gets hot I switch to the other and can go all night with a few flash switches. For the future, I am done with purchasing expensive units - I would buy 2 or 3 of these to alternate between on heavy load jobs, otherwise, if you space your shots a little, one of these units can last you for hours and hundreds of shots. I think learning to work with the manual setting on any flash is by far the best way to go - you will have more control and learning to shoot with a manual flash setting is easy to adapt to. • Trying a fourth time...
I purchased two of these recently. One of them seemed to only trigger about 33% of the time. The other one fired every time. So I returned the one.... I had only used one charger from #1 that I returned. So I had to charge #2 so I pulled out the box and found the charging cable is not for the US. Had i known that, I would have swapped the cords before sending #1 back. Replacement for #1 seems to be working fine, so that is good. Waiting on replacement #2. For the price, they are good and not having to use AA batteries is nice - these Li-ion battteries seem to be lasting a long time. So all in all good, I just wish I didn't have to go through 4 to have 2 good ones. ... show more
