I am very pleased with this flash on my Canon R8. Was skeptical of buying an off-brand flash, but I read some reviews and decided to make the purchase. First, the form fit on the R8 is excellent. It is small and lightweight, like the camera. 2nd, it allows me to move the flash off camera instantly, with its magnets on the base, take the photo, and reattach, effortlessly. 3rd, the flash allows full TTL as well as second shutter. Flash exposure adjustments are incredibly easy and intuitive with the control wheel. Lastly, the USBC rechargeable battery is better for me than carrying AAs.

This flash is all about speed and simplicity. The magnetic design lets you go from on-camera to off-camera instantly, with no re-pairing or menu setup. That alone makes it great for weddings and events where you don’t have time to slow down. TTL and HSS work well, the touchscreen is easy to use, and the power is solid for a compact flash. Battery life has been reliable with USB-C charging, and it’s light enough to carry all day. It’s not meant to replace a big studio strobe, but for real-world shoots where workflow matters, this is a very smart little flash. Will for sure be telling others to get this same flash.

This flash rocks. It’s a great value for the money. The build quality is solid, it connected right out of the box. Super versatile as far as compatibility goes. Long battery life. Plenty powerful enough for me. Overall a very good investment for anyone needing a versatile and ultra portable flash.

WOW. this flash is phenomenal! i've pretty much only ever used big, heavy, Nikon brand flashes (or a random inexpensive one that was compatible with like all cameras and had its own slew of issues), so i'll admit i was a little skeptical going in just based on the size, but this flash is more than sufficient. first, it's incredibly easy to use. i skimmed the instructions, figured it out pretty quickly, and just started playing. i did a test shoot in my apartment, trying out the different accessories in a no-pressure environment, and honestly had so much fun with it. compatibility-wise, it fit perfectly. no clunkiness, seamless integration. i shot a good portion of the test off-camera and it was completely smooth and effortless. i still want to test the range and a few other features out on location, but based on this first run, it came out on top. super lightweight and an incredible value for the money. test shoot images attached!

I picked up the Godox iT32 with the X5S trigger a couple of weeks ago, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for my everyday shooting. The magnetic snap between the flash and trigger is so satisfying – it clicks on securely for on-camera use, then pops off in a second if I want to go off-camera without any fuss. TTL works perfectly on my Sony A7600 and fx30, exposures are spot-on, and being able to bounce light easily with the rotating head makes portraits look way more natural. It’s tiny enough to slip in my bag, the battery lasts forever (I’ve gotten hundreds of shots without worrying), and it even plays nice with my other Godox lights wirelessly. Sure, it’s not the most powerful flash out there, but for events, travel, or just filling in shadows, it’s perfect. Couldn’t be happier – highly recommend if you’re looking for something compact and clever!

I don’t think I’ll be upgrading from this flash anytime soon! It works just as advertised and having it be wireless is a game changer! The modding light that’s part of the flash is also really cool!

This flash earns five stars from me for one thing alone: the detachable trigger is a game changer. Not having to juggle three moving parts when switching from on camera flash to off camera flash is genius! For being so small in size, it’s a pretty powerful flash. Because it is smaller, the options for modifiers is limited but it does come with a basic diffuser and two warm gels which are magnetic (very handy!). This little flash is going to come with me on all my travels and personal shoots, not even just because it’s small but also because it’s a great flash! Something to note is that it does NOT have an interchangeable battery, the flash itself is rechargable. That being said, I’m a wedding photographer so I won’t be taking this flash with me to weddings for the battery life reason. Surprisingly, it has a fast recycle time, *nearly* as quick as my V1. The flash head swivels both ways, which is a non-negotiable in my opinion, because it makes shooting portrait-orientation flattering with on camera flash. Truly makes me excited to see what the future of flash tech holds.
