Did some research to see which dehumidifier is best for my needs and space size. I have a 650sq ft condo on the main level, located a block away from the bay. With the Florida temperature and proximity to the bay I usually get a lot of humidity. My AC went out with I was away and with the humidity, my clothes and belonging were compromised. Mildew and mold-like spores were on some of my items. That mildew smell also wasn’t good. I initially bought those hanging dehumidifying bags to remove the moisture. Was shocked to see how much water filled the bags in such short time so I opted for a long term solution- getting a dehumidifier. Bought this product. All you have to do is plug it in, there’s two settings, one is for less noise, although on the main setting I didn’t find it noisy. I first placed it in my bedroom where the closet clothes are to take care of moisture in that area. Other items I’ve left it on at a central area of the condo. I have it on 24/7. Water filled the tank over time so I emptied it. Read the instructions on removing the tank. Love that it also has an auto shut off when the tank is full. There’s also the option for selecting different color lighting (blue, pink, green) when the device is on. More for esthetics than functionality. Great buy. ... show more

    • Very nice features; not much difference in humidity
I ordered both this and the Ivation model of about the same size. We run our A/C all summer, but sometimes it's not quite enough in some rooms to keep the humidity below 50, where we like it because of mold sensitivity. We hoped these would be enough to just make a few percentage points difference, but it's not quite enough. Maybe if we had two of them in each of the bedrooms in which the humidity tends to be a little higher. In our conditions, temp at about 72-75, relative humidity 45-55%, this removed 5 oz of water in a 24-hour period. The Ivation removed about the same (6 oz.) If we were using it in a more humid area (bathroom, closet?), perhaps it would be more effective. Feature comparison: This one wins over the Ivation with some very significant differences. On this unit, you remove the little collection bucket, and the lid is removable so you can clean the inside. The Ivation collection bucket does not have a removable lid: After removing the container, you take out a small plug to pour out the water, which means you can't reach inside to clean or dry the container. This one has lights. I leave the light off (yes, you can choose "no light" by cycling through the colors), but it's nice to be able to turn the light on to help me see how much water has been collected. The Ivation does not have a light (small difference.) Finally, this one is quieter. It has two speeds - one is a whisper, and one audible, but still nice and quiet. The Ivation has only one speed, and it is louder than the high speed on this unit. Also, this item's sound is less annoying - more of a low hum, where the Ivation has a higher pitch. One thing that I like better about the Ivation machine is that it has a simple on/off switch. This unit (Gocheer) has touch-buttons, which feel like they could fail more easily than a switch. Overall, these little Peltier technology machines are probably not enough for us. I wish there were larger, more powerful ones available, because the compressor ones we use are a bit of overkill. ... show more

    • I can see clearly
I bought this because the windows in my apartment would be fogged up and I could not see out of them because of the condensation and with the condensation came mold in the windowsills. It removes all of the moisture so I don't have to worry about mold in the windowsill. It also keeps the apt from being so humid and having that damp musty smell. ... show more

    • Nice little dehumidifier
We run a dehumidifier most of the year in our basement. We don’t get water we don’t really get any moisture either. It’s just precautionary because I finished the basement. This is a nice little one not terribly loud, but then again, this was purchased for our 33 foot puma camper. It obviously does not work in the winter because it froze lol we barely get water in it. We also use the damp dry little containers. It’s currently running, it’s the middle of April. There is some water in it right now so it does work. I guess I had higher expectations because of the weather outside but like I said it does work. ... show more

When I first got this product, it did really well. Received the product Aug of 2022 not even a full year and just this morning it stopped working. Won't by this one again

    • Worked okay while it lasted...
Decent humidifier for what I paid, which was around $50 a little more than a year ago now, it died a couple days ago which really was kind of bummer. I left it on for more than 95% of it's time here and it did it's job pretty well for me. It was starting to show signs of failing about a month or so ago, when the water in it's tank wasn't rising at all. I never could sleep without earplugs on with these things though, but it isn't loud by any means. It's definitely noticeable if you have a usually quiet space but if you have some kind of consistent noise (tv, music, hand holding, etc...) then it'll be barely noticeable. All in all I like this product, but the price went up a lot since my first purchase so it's leaving me feeling bittersweet writing this review. ... show more
