If you need a cushioned firm topper, this is for you. I needed something soft. I ordered this based on the great reviews. It seems very well made, and I do like the bamboo cover but I was still quite warm and woke up with even worse pain when I used this topper. Very disappointed because it seemed like the answer to my sleep problems. BUT I have been doing some research on memory foam. There are different densities and not all memory foam is the same. Not all bodies are the same either. What I consider firm, some people may consider soft. If you found this review, then you probably have read 249 others trying to find the right topper. To sum it up- If you are looking for a true medium-firm comfortable topper, this is the one. It's 40D where many of the others in this price range and similar style are 30D (less dense). It is not too soft, therefore you don't sink in nor get hot, it's also not too firm. It's perfect IMO with plenty of support. These have only been on Amazon for a few months (at the time of writing this review), so they are basically new production. We opened ours up outside in the sun and it was perfectly full and flat within 30 minutes. No creases or folds, ours was manufactured only 5 months ago according to the tag on the topper. There was no offensive chemical smell at all. I slept very well and did not toss and turn as much, and when I woke up, I felt rested. Purchased this mattress topper after reviewing dozens of others. This one has a nice zippered covered for easy removal and washing. I purchased the 2" topper and very pleased. It is comfortable and I suffer from back and knee pain, and this is a bit of a game changer for me. Does not eradicate all the pain, but sure makes sleeping much more comfortable. ... show more

Finally I broke down and decided to find a good topper to see if I could delay buying ANOTHER new mattress. Let me tell you- after one night on this topper, I feel so much better! I actually got the 2" for a full size bed. ( says 3") it appears to be very well made, I put it on top a an new 8" memory foam mattress, then a 2" piece of FIRM convoluted foam , I'm very pleased with the product/ quality..and the 10 year warranty was a plus for me..however, the cooling gel doesn't cool .. I'm a very hot sleeper! But I kept it and really have Zero complaints it's overall very comfortable.. Would recommend ... show more
