This GoPro 12 over heats on 4K 30 fps in about 8 to10 minutes and takes over a half an hour to cool down enough to use it again, and than shuts down again in about 10 minutes, over and over. On 1080 30 fps it does run longer, but the picture is not as good and it still overheats. Over heating makes taking anything over 8 minutes worthless, I Returned it to the seller ... show more

After taking shortcuts because I wanted to save money, I finally did it. I finally purchased a GoPro , not just any one but the latest version in the Hero 12 , instantly as I finished opening the package and I touched the GoPro for the first time, I felt the absolute difference in quality! The Quality of the hero 12 far outweighs those action cams that I purchased because I was taking financial shortcuts! You get what you pay for! Now as for functionality the number of functions is impressive, the touch screen highly reactive to your deliberate touch. The GoPro Quik app ups the convenience level.     • Don't buy this package! Read all descriptions very carefully before purchase!!
GoPro 12 does as advertised. But as always, read Amazon descriptions very carefully. Pictures and wording can be very deceiving!! The kit that comes with this is very cheap, off brand ($25 value at best) Both extra batteries are for GoPro 9. One battery won't even charge, stays at 17% after charging literally all night long. The SD card in this package is just a throw in, 64 GB probably under $10. I bought a 256 GB SD card same exact brand for $25. Also note, subscription service does have cloud feature with WiFi so you don't necessarily even have to worry about filling your SD card up unless WIFi is out of range. And if you you subscribe to GoPro's yearly service, it covers warranty on the camera so don't bother buying warranty through Amazon's insurance. But you do the math. GoPro 12 retails at $350 now; + $25 kit + $10 64 GB SD card + 2 (GoPro 9) batteries (Under $20) And I just paid $28 separately for (2) GoPro 12 batteries with the charging station kit) And trust me, you'll want the charging station because the only form of charging is via USB-C on camera while the battery compartment is jarred open. I paid $445 for everything not including tax. So the markup for us lazy people is around $50 give or take. Gotta respect the hustle tho. I was in a hurry to get it for work reasons so it wasn't a terrible ripoff for me. Bummed about the one battery being defective but I'll just take the loss since I have new ones on the way. But do yourself a favor and just buy everything that you need individually. If I could go back I would just buy directly from GoPro website or find one on Amazon for $350 and buy everything else one at a time after doing some diligent research. Plus note that ordering anything off the GoPro website after subscription is active will not only cover warranty but net you larger discounts (up to 50% off) on all their products when going straight through them. ... show more
