I ordered this thinking it was for a 10-lb cat I planned to adopt from my son who could no longer keep it due to a military move. I ended up with 2 cats, one 12 pounds and one 14 pounds. I mounted food and water bowls up high to keep them away from the dog, and everything held together perfectly even when the cats hurled themselves at the food at top speed. We currently have a third cat visiting (she’s 10 pounds) and as the photo shows, they all love this tower! Some aggressive clawing did loosen the wrap on one support but I plan to stitch it up. Otherwise it is very sturdy and has made it through a full month now without problems. It was pretty easy to assemble and good value for the price. Only “con” is the hammock: it regularly falls off the hooks that support it and two of the hooks fell out, so we don’t really use it. ... show more

Arrived in timeframe I was given @ purchase. I was told 10 days arrived in 9. My 6 month old kitten loves it! I put a cat bed on highest shelf & he sleeps there. I used one for crates that had the stretch 4 corners rubber band type thing to secure it. That was $5 & it’s secure. It’s a very fun jungle gym but eventually it will wear out as there is no sisal. I looked at the pics & never caught that. I got lost putting it together when I was putting the kitten house together. (The two slim tubes go INSIDE the round house) I finally figured it out. I can’t deduct stars for the sisal. I should have paid attention. It looks good with my brown furniture. I think the directions need improvement as I did struggle a bit. I put a 52 inch up last week from same company & took me 15 mins. This one took 45 plus. Overall a good price & lovely cat tree. 4 stars! PS. Being dark brown it shows everything that’s not brown including orange cat hair. UPDATE: Holding up just fine now a week later. I really like the extra flat space this tree provides over most other trees 4 lounging. It DEFINITELY does show everything & must be vacuumed It should really be advertised as lounge tree as it’s only carpet & no sisal. Of course your cat may scratch it just as your cat scratches your couch. I’m going to put twine on one of the post or maybe more. It’s available here on Amazon . I would definitely still buy this for the price. My cat is not big on scratching & I already have another in the cat room with good scratching post. I still love the fact this blends with my furniture. I also bought the rectangle dog bed for crates in copper for the highest platform. It matches & now Junior sleeps up high. Make sure it has the straps underneath & it will stay in place. It’s the Midwest or maybe Amazon brand & it was on sale for $5. I definitely recommend buying that to go with this. I’ll add it to my photo’s & video. Update 3-20-23. Cats full grown. Very sturdy & cat uses it often but it still shows everything & sheds as bad as a cat but I would definitely still buy it! it was easily put together and looks good in the front room, cat took right to it. Smaller than I thought it would be, a bit small for a full-grown cat, but that doesn't stop my cat from playing on it. it will work, kind of wobbly on carpet, but not bad, my cat likes it.

It was cheap enough that I didn’t mind making adjustments so I didn’t have to build one from scratch. This is very sturdy if you put it up against the wall. My kitten is just now 10mo old and over 14 lb so he tends to shake the entire thing when jumping on and off-I’ll be securing it to the wall soon. The the tunnel thing that’s supposed to go beneath the top layer wouldn’t stay on because the screws they provided were too short so I put it between the poles on the bottom. My cat didn’t like the hammock and kept taking it off, so I stapled it on there and now use it to store his toys. The cave is exceptionally small and even at 5 lbs my kitten didn’t fit in it at the time so I cut the fabric off and wrapped the poles in sisel. The fuzzy fabric that covers it does not let the cats scratch or give them something to grip when trying to climb up so I covered it with cheap carpet remenants and added sisel rope to the poles. Once I added that, my cat loves it and uses it all the time. Before that he tried, but would always slip off so wasn’t crazy about it. So if you don’t mind making a few adjustments for your cats comfort, this is sturdy enough and easy enough to put together and cheap enough to save you from having to spend hundreds of dollars on one of the carpeted ones at the pet store. I think the additions I made cost me maybe $25 for the carpet remenants and roles of sisel rope. Assuming you have a hot glue gun and staple gun on hand already. But still much cheaper than building from scratch. ... show more

Great for my cat she’s a big girl she’s not to wild but it does wobble when she gets crazy. Also I didn’t realize it doesn’t have scratch poles but I’m totally fine without that mess we have scratch post separate. She absolutely loves it.
