Description

Go (Go) back to the beginning and discover the never-before-revealed stories of Jason, Kimberly, Zack, Trini, and Billy – the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers – before Tommy Oliver arrived in Angel Grove finally collected in this fan favorite deluxe.Discover the earliest days of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers – Jason, Kimberly, Zack, Trini, and Billy – right after they became Teenagers With Attitude. Juggling high school, extracurriculars, and budding romance, your favorite teen heroes might have it all under control… if it wasn’t for the dastardly Rita Repulsa, her minions, and their plan to defeat the Power Rangers once and for all. And if that wasn’t hard enough, the original Rangers also have to deal with keeping their new lives secret from a sixth member of their pre-Morphin Grid circle. Their friend Matthew Cook wasn’t chosen by Zordon, but will our team be able to keep their new identities from him even when their distant, dark future collides with their new beginning? By popular demand, the first half of the seminal Go Go Power Rangers series by superstar writers Ryan Parrott (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Marguerite Bennett (Batwoman, Animosity) with fan favorite artists Dan Mora (Once & Future), Eleanora Carlini (The Amazing Spider-Man), Ilaria Catalini, Jordan Gibson, Derek Charm, Xiao Tong Kong, Jon Lam, and Jim Towe is collected for the first time in a deluxe hardcover format. Collects Go Go Power Rangers 1-16 and Go Go Power Rangers: Back To School 1. Read more

  • A Great Book
I've been wanting to get into the comics for a awhile, and once I saw this? I knew I had to get it and no regrets it's great

  • Fantastic story lines
So far I'm four volumes in and I'm loving the series. Have always been a big fan of Power Rangers so I've been wanting to catch up on the comics, and I can happily say I've loved every page of it. Also the book itself is in excellent, sturdy shape, with beautiful art work!

  • This is a morphinominal collection indeed
Go Go Power Rangers Book One collects issues #1-16, Back to School special, and an exclusive story "The Price of Ambition," which focuses on a young Rita Repulsa. Highly recommended for collectors, if you missed out on the single issues, or if you're a new comic book reader.

  • If you already bought the deluxe MMPR sets...
If you already bought the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Deluxe Editions then you already own half of the issues in this hardcover: The Book One Deluxe Edition includes issues 1-16 and 9-16 are in the Shattered Grid Deluxe Edition. The Book Two Deluxe Edition contains 17-32 and 21-28 are in the Unnecessary Evil I Deluxe Edition, 29-32 are in the Unnecessary Evil II Deluxe Edition. That's 12 out of 16 issues and a lot of double-dipping. I really thought they were never going to do Deluxe releases because it had been so long and they already released so much of the material in the MMPR Deluxe Editions so to find out they finally did after buying all of the paperback volumes that were not in those sets, is a bit of a disappointment. The fact that there's now an exclusive story to this set just rubs salt in the wound. The MMPR and GGPR sets go together and intertwine in terms of the story so it's odd they didn't give some sort of option to those that already bought the MMPR sets. They should have thought about this years ago instead of now. Also if you buy these GGPR sets BEFORE the MMPR ones, then you're only getting half of the story because unlike the MMPR sets than include the GGPR issues when there's crossovers...this is missing the crossover MMPR issues. I guess this at least allowed them to only have to release the series in two books. At least going forward they are releasing Power Rangers and Mighty Morphin combined in future sets and this won't happen again. ... show more

  • Just ain’t worth the price
When it comes to the mainline books, I have an extremely hard time to justify the price of these hardcovers. But this one? If you are buying this book you are no doubt having already brought the others in this series, in that case you are already buying comics you already purchased before. It is really hard to justify the price. Of course the second volume is an even worse offense. ... show more
