  • To use with the Canon M50 please read this - (helpful info from manufacturer!)
We use Glorich adapters and they work really well - we use them for the Canon 60D and 80D! I've copied information below from Glorich on how to use the adapter with the Canon M50 mirrorless camera, it's very helpful - because attaching it on this camera is a bit trickier. We bought this adapter first, since our camera salesperson promised to allow us to test it on the Canon M50 before purchasing the camera, but sadly we couldn't get it to work. So - we didn't purchase the Canon M50 - we're animators and really wanted to try a mirrorless camera, since animation creates a lot of wear and tear on the mirror, and we suspect that a mirrorless camera will last a lot longer for animation. I've attached photos I received from Glorich that shows how to properly attach the adapter for the Canon M50. We've very glad that Glorich makes these adapters - Canon no longer makes adapters, so these are filling a real need! Too bad that our camera salesperson couldn't help us - due to budgeting we'll have to wait for a while to try out a Canon mirrorless camera now... but at least we know that the Glorich adapter is available. Here is information I received from Tony L. at Glorich: "For the Canon M50 camera, the notch is in the center of the battery cavity door and it is covered by a rubber flap. The correct method is to install the dummy battery into the battery cavity, push and have it locked, then close the battery cavity door, the pull the rubber flap outwards, then plug the connector of dc wire into the dummy battery via the notch. I am herewith attaching you a picture to show its correct installation and usage. Please follow to thest steps then it should be able to work." (see the photos) ... show more

  • A little tricky but works like a charm
So happy it works with my Canon M50. At first I didn’t know about the little rubber opening to make it work. The camera only works with the battery compartment lid closed. You need to put the fake battery in there unattached and close the lid. Then open this little rubber flap on the closed lid and insert the adaptor there. Then it works. I attached a photo of how it looks. It has a nice long lengthy cord too. ... show more

  • This style of adapter shouldn't have to exist
This adapter seems to work fine. I just received it, plugged it in, and it works. I haven't experienced any of the issues mentioned in other reviews, but if I do, I'll update. Now, for my disappointment with Canon... Canon, why don't you put a normal ac jack on your cameras? Especially since so many of them are used for vlogging today? We shouldn't have to have these weird configurations where to need to plug in a fake battery pack then pull the slider off of the flap to plug the cord in. This is just stupid. ... show more

  • DON'T BUY, WILL MESS UP YOUR CAMERA!
I literally just took this thing out the box an hour ago and was testing the adapter. I was getting that same hum everyone mentioned and I didn't plug it back up. Thinking it might be an outlet or power strip, went to another outlet and same noise. Put my regular canon battery back in try since I was going to return this due to the noise, camera won't turn on. This is horrible! Please don't use this thing! ... show more

  • Works with Canon M50 camera
I purchased this for my new Canon M50 mirror-less camera. The camera's electronics drain batteries quickly and this device allows me to capture multiple time-lapse sequences without having to change batteries. Just what I needed.

  • Great AC adapter for Canon EOS M and M50 mirrorless cameras
STRONGLY recommended for anyone who plans to record more than a few minutes of video or plans to use camera as a webcam! + Modular design, but that also means all the cords and adapters need to be connected + Dummy battery easily fits into the camera + AC adapter (switching transformer) runs only slightly warm Initially I couldn't believe there was a way to connect the DC power cord to the dummy battery while the camera is still mounted on a tripod. Canon's door design is truly clever: lift up the rubber flap to expose the hole in the door for the DC power cord connection! On simple tripods with a small quick release mounting plate, it's still possible to remove the DC power cord, open the battery door and carefully extract the SD card. ... show more

  • too unreliable, not worth the hassle of having to return
Just get the canon official product. This didn't work at all for me on my Canon EOS M50. I was plugging it through the flap with a closed lid as the instructions clearly outlined. Also, unrelated to the product itself and more the seller, they were gracious enough to send me a replacement product, however, the email trail went dead and no product was ever received by me. It may still be on its way, but it ended up not being worth all of the hassle of back and forth explaining that I was assembling the thing right etc. Ended up returning for a refund and will just purchase the official canon product. ... show more

  • Works Well, Just Look for the Hidden Flap
This AC Power Adapter for Canon m50 worked really well! I had no idea there was a hidden flap that covers the hole where you can put the DC adapter into the supplied battery adapter so I contacted the seller. He quickly replied with detailed photos on how to access it and it worked like a charm. Now I don't have to use batteries when shooting my Canon M50 in my studio. Thanks for a great product. The cable is long enough and sturdy feeling. ... show more
