I got this so I could use this cool jellyfish lampshade, and it's absolutely perfect! I expected it to be a touch taller but thankfully with my space the height is no issue at all. The packaging was so perfect were keeping the boxes to make our next move either, not an inchoate wasted space. It was super easy to put together and though it has a floor button we are using led bulbs with a remote and it works stunningly! Obviously it's easy to swap out the lampshade too for a different vibe, as long as you're careful about the connection size. Super happy with these lamps, would buy again if we needed to light a larger space :) ... show more

I've had this lamp for just over a year. It's moved around a couple of times before settling in the entry way by a console table. I put an LED grow light in it for my plants. Sometimes we swap the bulb out and put in a LED rotating disco lightbulb in it for some fun dance parties. It's an attractive piece and was offered at a great value. The light was packaged nicely and easy to assemble. The base is a nice weight, which lends to it's basic sturdiness, but the support pole stands at about six feet, and is made up of five separate screw-together pieces, and makes the light, as a whole, a little wobbly. Honestly, as long as you don't plan on using it for pole-dancing, this shouldn't be too much of a problem. I have a hyper five year-old, which is why I have the lamp safely tucked in a corner spot. The cord is a generous length with a convenient power on/off foot tap. I've been satisfied with its light output, be it with the grow light and disco light. At one point, I had a decorative large globed Edison bulb in it, and the lighting was delightfully ambient. I received my product with no dents or scratches, but would recommend that you thoroughly check your product for any unsightly blemishes. This product has exceeded my expectations. Before purchasing it, I read a lot of the reviews --- so I felt prepared for any type of disappointment. For the price which this floor lamp was offered, it just seemed worth it, ultimately. Got this lamp because it fit the aesthetic I wanted for my room. It's pretty simple to put together although the wire that ran through was twisted so it was initially hard to get through the poles. The bulb is pretty bright and there's no shade (unless you buy one yourself) so best to put it somewhere where you're not likely to always stare at it. It's super modern as a result though and that's something I did want. I've had it for about a year now and it's pretty good. The foot on/off is super easy since it's right underneath my desk and I just stomp it to get it to turn on/off. The only thing I've noticed now, after a year of use and an apt move, is that it's not as sturdy as it once used to be. It sways a little back and forth, even on solid ground with just the support it has itself. It's not perfectly straight anymore and it's definitely a bit annoying and can ruin the aesthetics/look of a place. Maybe it needs more tightening but I wish it held its 'shape' longer without human intervention. Besides that, it has a heavy base, so it does seem sturdy in that sense. And it's easy to assemble. I love this lamp but the switch to turn it on and off is closer to the plug than to the lamp itself. This may seem inconsequential but for me it means if I plug my lamp in behind furniture the switch ends up behind that object. I have solved the problem by plugging the lamp into plugs controlled by switches but this also means I can't plug anything else there that I want to stay on when the light is off. I still love the lamp and am overall happy with the purchase, but thought I would share for other who care about these details when decorating. ... show more

After reading reviews about others having trouble putting the lamp together or saying that it was kind of wobbly/tilting to the side, I was a little hesitant but for the price I decided I’d give it a try, especially since other lamps similar to this style were running 15-20.00 more. It was fairly easy to put together— the trick for me was to pull the electrical cord tight from the bottom, BUT you have to make sure the cord is straight coming through the other end or you’re going to get resistance because there’s no slack. Once I got each piece threaded through, I went back and tried to tighten once more to be safe. It stands up straight and seems pretty sturdy! We bought this lamp to provide some light in our living room behind our couch. (Our living room is average size, maybe 350 sq ft) We have two other lamps in the room in opposite corners, which I’m glad because I’m a little disappointed with the amount of light coming out. I have to say though if you wanted to leave a soft light on, it works well. in the pictures I have the recommended Edison bulb placed. We will be getting a cage for the bulb as another reviewer mentioned doing. I am happy with the lamp overall and like how easy it is to use the floor switch. ... show more

I have two of these as corner lamps. One in my studio and one in my living room. The only slight issue I had was with the one in my living room that I stuck back behind a sofa. The on/off switch was too short to run under, so I had to hide it behind the sofa. Not a huge deal, since I needed to leave space behind anyways due to a floor vent. You can use any bulb you want. I've tried standard LED, Globe LED, and "Flickering Flame" type LED bulbs. Dimming LED bulbs will also work fine even though this lamp does not support the dimming feature. In the end I went with what I have pictured (500 lumen G25 Globe LED Daylight (5000K) Dimmable). The reason I went with dimmable is because I found a killer deal on a 3 pack. These bulbs have a frosted look (can't see the filament). ... show more
