All in all, it looks really nice and was very easy to put together. Unfortunately, after putting it together it is slightly tilted to a side. I was able to straighten it a little by putting a piece of cardboard under the base. But that's not what I paid for.

The lamp was well-protected during shipment, and the foot switch is a nice idea for turning it on and off. The bulb housing is also nice and deep, which hides longer spot lights (like the LED plant light I have it for). The two problems I ran into were that it leaned noticeably after assembly, and it got really hot inside the bulb housing. To correct the lean, I placed some coins under one side of the base to counter the slight bend in the stand. To correct the heat build-up (which shortens the life of LEDs) I drilled holes into the top of the lamp housing to let the heat out. It really is a nice-looking light, and if it didn't need the extra work described here, I'd have given it five stars. ... show more

This lamp WAS VERY easy to assemble! Only took me 3-5 minutes. GREAT QUALITY and the stand is sturdy, NO scratches and no dents upon arrival. Perfect gold accents. The globe is exactly what I needed for the amount of lighting I wanted. You can also reverse the globe upwards for overall light through out your living space. This product is not the sturdiest. I've had it fall over on me a couple of times, and if you're using it with a heavier bulb (I tried using an Edison bulb in mine), the head absolutely will not hold the position you move it to, and will topple over.
