I've had my four-pack for all of a day, but am pleasantly surprised. I felt I was taking a chance in buying these, but am happy to report all four fired up right out of the box and simply WORK. NOTE: at first boot, you'll see a QR code that makes it look like it's not activated. Let it sit for a minute or two, and the radio will connect to the cellular network. I handed one radio off to a friend (we are both amateur radio operators, so have an interest in this stuff - he also ordered four!), and we tested just around our city. The experience was very good. The audio definitely has a digital sound to it. When we use digital modes on our ham radios, we joke that we sound drunk; these have a similar effect, but less pronounced. I'm overall very excited about using these on road trips. We have a special needs daughter who lives across town and can't have her own phone (although she can use the house phone). She'll get one of these to be able to call us whenever she wants. I'm sure we'll come up with other use cases. I truly hope the SIM card activation is lifetime as described. Time will tell!

This is NOT a real walkie talkie. It uses the cellular grid and requires cellular service. In short, it operates exactly like the old Nextel/Boost mobile phone walkie talkies. This will NOT work in remote areas or any place where there aren’t a lot of cell towers. So to those of you who thought this was for when SHTF, or if you wanted to do real wilderness off the grid camping/hiking — these are ineffective. They are simply phones that imitate walkie talkies; just like the *chirp* *chirp* “Boost mobile, wya” phones back in the day.

The best walkie talkie. The distance is amazing. The customer service is excellent. The only drawback is that you have to email them. But the customer service response immediately. He is very helpful. I bought two and then added another two. But all the four devices are not together. I emailed them and they were able to put all of the four lines together in one group. I can see myself buying this again in the future if I need more. The best thing in all of this is that you don’t have any monthly subscription. You have it forever.

Walkie Talkies work exactly as described and function all over the state of NJ with no problems. I was worried because in the middle of my warehouse, we get no cellular service on cellphones, and these walkie talkies use LTE as well, but they work great even in the middle of my warehouse. I was able to work with the seller and ordered multiple bundles of these radios and they set me up quickly and easily with a master group for all the radios to work in and are very responsive and helpful.
