Especially at this price I feel like I really took a risk with no skin/color swatch images here/online anywhere to get a better idea of the real color. Studio images of the eyeshadow are not helpful. Sadly, there aren't much choices when it comes to talc free and sensitive skin. Photo with darker color: The espresso color is a matte dark brown/gray --- exactly what I hoped for. Pure black is too costumey for me, I prefer to leaven it with some shades of gray and brown. Photo with lighter color: The twig color is a matte light brown mauve --- also exactly what I hoped for. It can be lighter or darker depending how much you layer on. Really lucked out this time. Attempted to include color swatch photos that may help others. Even if my skin tone differs you can get a general idea if this may be what you are looking for. ... show more

This is the best eyeshadow I have ever bought. I have been wearing it for several years and it is a great color on blue eyed gals. Good quality too. I put Urban Decays eyeshadow base on first and then the eyeshadow and it has great staying power.

I love these eyeshadows...always velvety and they don't crease or make my eyelids look crepey! I'm getting close to 50, so it can be difficult to find something that does all of those things, but Glo Minerals shadows always fit the bill
