I used one packet and it was surprisingly easy. You just run the water, drop it in, and let it foam up. The lemon smell was strong at first but in a good way and it made the whole sink area feel cleaner. The odor from the disposal was gone right away and stayed away for about two weeks. No effect. Normally, I use bleach when I notice a smell from the drain but I decided to try this. I followed the directions on the package. Ran through two packs with a small stream of hot water.
