My dishwasher is a GE Quiet Power 3. Yes, old. Plastic interior. And WHITE. But she still runs. My dishwasher did not smell at all, but it was hit and miss on washing. Also it was a little loud. I'm sitting 25 feet away and I could hear the thing running! I have used other cleaning agents in it. Same results. I took a chance based on reviews and purchased this. Just FYI - unless someone more knowledgeable can inform me (and I have looked all over on the internet) there is no filter that I can clean. Again, I took a chance and input this into my dishwasher today. Let it run thru the Sani-temp wash until complete. Then took out the fully used container of Finish and loaded it. I actually went into the kitchen a few times to see if it was still running. So much quieter! And it really looked great! This is me telling you that a 25 yo dishwasher can look great as well as perform! ... show more

i’m in a rental and the dishwasher was very old and dirty. i took it apart and scrubbed every inch but there was still a bad smell, esp when it first started a clean cycle (smell came thru sink drain, and sometimes a dish or cup would smell)! so gross. finally discovered this product and ran it in an empty load on pots and pans and high heat cycle. when it finished, it smelled so fresh and there was a fizzing sound (kind of like when you put hydrogen peroxide on a skin cut and it bubbles to disinfect the germs). so i let the dishwasher sit empty for several hours until it stopped fizzing. then i ran another empty load to rinse. what unbelievable results!! dishes are so much cleaner, everything smells great, like a brand new dishwasher!! would absolutely recommend!! ... show more

We have hard water here. I had hard water in the last state I lived in, too. You get white crusty build-up in your dishwasher. Your glassware gets spots on it. In advanced cases, you find white or grey sandy grit on your clean dishes. This will provide a blast of Citrix acid and surficants to help get the calcium build-up out of your dishwasher. I use it monthly, in a double-dose because I let the problem go on for so long and my water here is pretty darn hard. My glasses sparkle now. I originally found this on a yotube video on repairing a Bosch dishwasher. The product worked beyond expectations. Cleaned all the uncleanable spots and left the washer super fresh. Better than it has been for 8 years. Highly recommended. I'm going to do mine now every 3 months.

I haven't been able to smell for more than 20+ years. My husband came up to me about a month ago saying we need a new dishwasher (although ours is top of the line Kitchen Aid and is only 4 years old. I've owned a Bosch dishwasher for 17 years. It is used daily and still works as new (no joke). It had begun to look its age. This inexpensive product recommended by Bosch, left the machine looking great and smelling really clean. I will buy it again.
