  • Nice Bike, Worth The Price
Size: 24 Inch / Having Rack Color: White
This bike ended up being better than anticipated. The reviews varied, so I was hesitant to purchase initially, but I'm happy that I picked it up. The assembly was super easy, the instructions are clear and easy to follow and even though I used my own tools, it comes with a nice selection for anyone that may need them for building the bike or future maintenance. Some silicone grease can help with assembly and function but it's not included. Otherwise, once complete you'll only need to adjust the seat and handlebar height as well as the lever positions to the rider. Air up the tires and you're ready to ride. Probably the most difficult part will be adjusting the front brake (maybe the rear too if yours is not adjusted properly) simply because linear pull brakes can be a little finicky, but even-so, we're talking another couple minutes. After a couple rides I'd grab your tools and verify everything is still tight and adjusted properly just like you'd do with any other bike, pre-assembled or not. The color (white) was applied well, no scratches, dings or bubbles. All parts are durable and worth the price of the bike. The multiple speed shift selector had me a little concerned that it would take a bit of time for my kiddo to get used to, along with now using hand brakes, but they picked it up right away. I'm told the seat is very comfortable as-is the rider position. We opted for the rear rack as well, which comes in handy all the time. I'd say this bike is well worth the price and if taken care of, should last for a long time. Should anything change, I will update this review. ... show more

  • Pretty good bike - not perfect but I wouldn't expect it to be for the price
Size: 24 Inch / Without Rack Color: Pink
Assembly was fairly straight forward without many issues. One of the fenders was a little bent so I had to try to bend it back the opposite way so that it would not rub the tire / look sideways. The kickstand looks like it's more robust and meant to be better than a very basic one, but it's really hard to use and my daughter who is 8 often can't get it up and needs my help. I live near the beach and we store it in the garage so I expected that rust would be an issue. The painted parts have held up well, but many of the non-painted parts had started to rust within 6 months (which isn't much different from my Restrepo beach cruiser) but I was still hoping it would last a little longer before rusting. The chain hasn't rusted yet though so I think it must be a higher quality material / coated with something. My Restrepo I bought about the same time has a completely rusted chain. All-in-all I'm happy with this purchase and would probably purchase again. ... show more

  • Very Nice Looking Bike
Size: 20 Inch / Having Rack Color: Mint
We purchased the 20" Missy for our daughter, who is seven years old and 51" tall. We had considered going with the next size up but decided against it. It was a good choice because we had to put the seat on this bike into its lowest position. The bike seems very well made. However, it's more difficult to assemble than advertised. A few items (e.g., the front brakes and the rear gears cassette) needed some fine-tuning adjustments. I would guess that some of the complaints from other reviewers (e.g., slipping gears) are related to not making these adjustments. If you are familiar with bikes, these items will be pretty straightforward. If you're unfamiliar with bikes and don't enjoy the assembly process for toys and other new things for your child, you should follow the advice on the box itself and take it to a local bike mechanic for assembly. Overall, the bike is the same quality as much more expensive bikes that we looked at in local bike shops. As you can see from the pictures, it has a great "look," and our daughter liked it when we surprised her with it. The basket was a hit. We appreciate her stepping up to hand brakes and a bike with multiple gears. We are pleased with this purchase and recommend it to other parents looking for a nice bike for their child. ... show more

  • Chain falls off regularly
Size: 24 Inch / Having Rack Color: Peach
Super cute bike but low quality. My daughter likes to ride the bike to school and to her friends houses. The chain falls off regularly. She can’t fix it herself, so it leaves her stranded until someone can come get her. It’s happened enough that I will be throwing this away and getting a new bike. Don’t waste your money. We’ve had it 6 months. This chain started falling off less than a month in. ... show more

  • Genuinely a well made bicycle.
Size: 24 Inch / Having Rack Color: Mint
I was very pleasantly surprised, this is so, so much better than a department store bike. We got the 24 inch for my neighbor's little girl since she had outgrown her garbage walmart bike and her mom couldn't afford a new bike. I did a lot of research, I wanted something she liked, but also had gears so she could climb the hills around our neighborhood, and was made decently so I could actually maintain the thing for the 2-4 years until she outgrows it. Out of the box, it needed really nothing. Setup was a breeze, the derailleur shifted great right out of the box with no tuning needed, the wheels were true, the headset smooth and not loose, brakes felt good enough, no stripped anything, and it's just the right size for an 11 year old girl, she has a fair amount of room to grow with it. Still, if you're not familiar with tuning up a bicycle, just take it to a bike shop and pay them to set it up. Your kid will appreciate it. This bike is worth the investment, it's so much better than cheap walmart trash. And for god's sakes, get your kid a REAL, GOOD HELMET that they like the style of. Your kid's head is worth $50-100. Pick out a few different helmets with MIPS protection and let them pick the one they like. The style that goes with this bike is going to be by the brand "thousand" and their helmets are very high quality, and a kid about the size of the 24 inch bike will easily fit a small size. ... show more
