I own four other, similar stands. I use them for smaller audio mixers, percussion tables, and even as a temporary laptop stand. One also goes with me to performances as a percussion table. This is, hands down, the sturdiest stand among them, and that includes my expensive Samson LTS50 model. Note, though, if you need a stand with a platform that can tilt, this is not what you are looking for. Moreover, if you are looking for a stand to which you can attach an additional shelf such as an Audio 2000 one that clamps to your stand, it also will not work. This stand is heavy duty in all respects. I am currently using it as a catch-all side table that I sometimes use with a laptop and sometimes use as a spare work surface to repair small items. As suggested this is a sturdy well made stand that can be modified for other uses. I needed a shooting stand to hold my rounds. The top tray was simply removed and replaced with my ammo box. Love it!
