I love these glass nail files. These file nails very quickly and smoothly. They are easy to clean with a tiny bit of soap and warm water. I haven't found one reason not to love these. The colors are bright and vibrant, and it doesn't look like it wears off, but I will come back and update my review if it ever does. This set is so gentle and easy to use. I really like that it's not rough like regular emery boards or metal nail files, and yet, it works so well and so much better than regular nail files. It feels smooth, and delivers a very smooth finish. I also like that it comes in three sizes, and each file has its own pouch. I carry the smallest file in my wallet because every so often, I need a file when a nail breaks, etc. When my nephew needed a nail file, I let him use this, and he was also genuinely surprised and delighted at how nice it felt, and how well it worked. ... show more

They are made very nice. The holders aren't fancy but the do the job just fine. I thought they would be a little more coarse. I would put these in the fine grit category so more of a finish file.

If you're hesitating, don't. These are the best nail files I have ever had, and I don't expect to have to buy any ever again, unless of course I lose them...or want more in different colors! These are excellent quality, look beautiful, and work excellent on my natural nails!!! I do however think they would work fantastic on even gel/acrylic nails too!     • Affordable and authentic! These are the real deal.
Okay TL;DR: These files are amazing - they're exactly what I was looking to purchase! I've been struggling to grow my nails out for some time now, and after hearing all of the nail guru advice regarding crystal/glass nail files being the most gentle, yet effective, on our nails, I finally gave in and purchased an OPI one at Sally's that sadly ended up being a fake. I kept hearing the distinction between "fake" and "real" crystal files on YouTube and admittedly brushed them off as sponsored BS - if the file is obviously glass-blown it's definitely real, right? Wrong. I ended up with a complete dud the first time around. As soon as I tried to use it to buff down some stubborn acrylic during a soak-off, the "grit" wore down and despite multiple rinses (which is supposed to restore an authentic crystal nail file), it never recovered and I was left with an entire side of slick, gritless glass that was obviously useless. I almost gave up on using this type of file altogether, but I'd heard that even though there were many fakes out there, Mont Bleu was one of the rare, affordable authentic brands on the market and I'm happy to say the rumors are true! Don't let the affordable price point fool you, these files are the REAL deal and do everything and more that an authentic crystal nail file is supposed to do. While being gentle enough not to cause my nails to split and peel if I use a sawing motion, it's strong enough to shape and trim my nails with as much ease as a pair of clippers. The aforementioned "and more" refers to the biggest file in this set that I've been using in lieu of a foot pumice stone. I'm honestly in love; NOTHING has ever worked better for this purpose. I've tried every single exfoliating brush, pumice stone, and elixir to soften my soles, but this file gets those rough areas under my feet baby-smooth in seconds. It was definitely a pleasant surprise. Even though I'm super stoked about it, this purchase wasn't sponsored in any way at all, I just needed to rave about these files after successfully using them to do exactly what did my first fake file in - buffing off acrylic/gel! They're still in perfect condition and I couldn't be happier. If you're looking for a set of REAL crystal/glass files, seriously look no further. ... show more

Work well. Has 3 sizes. Wish the largest size was a little larger. I had a larger one, but alas, my husband dropped it and broke it. These were purchased as replacements. They work well smoothing out ragged edges on broken finger nails. Nice color.
