Didn’t get the hype about glass nail files til I tried one of these “Czech glass” files… oh my god, made all of my past nail files feel downright medieval… these things are so effective yet gentle, I’ll never go back. Plus they last forever (or as long as you can go without dropping/crushing them… I went about a year lol). Just remember to wash them with soap and water after you’ve used it for a bit, and it will be just as effective in a year as it was the first time you used it. And if you’ve tried glass files before and didn’t get the hype, or this is your first rodeo, be advised, NOT ALL ARE CREATED EQUAL. After I happened to buy one of these “Czech” files on Amazon because it had good reviews and had my glass-file awakening, I tried buying cheaper glass files online that looked identical, but didn’t have “Czech glass” in the name, thought it was probably nbd. Negative. They SUCK. Grit is way too coarse or they just have lines etched into the glass that do nothing to file the nail. So apparently, yeah, not sure what the deal is but the Czech’s aren’t playing around. This is the second set of Czech glass files I've gotten from Amazon (from different suppliers) and this is the same quality as the first, these are the amazing ones. but this was three for the price of one. Even though these are not as thick as the file I used for 20 years (it fell and broke) this set works beautifully. Another set from a different vendor wore away to just slick glass after 4 or 5 uses.

I really like how these files look and that they come in multiple sizes. They're durable, and so far show no signs of wear. It's nice that they can be rinsed off if needed. They don't leave ragged edges when you file like the cardboard or foam files, and the edges are clean. However, they do file nails down really fast if you do too much. I've ended up with extremely short nails from filing with these. Also, if you have thin or brittle nails, like I do, these can be a little intense.
