As trivial as this sounds these trash bags are one of the worst purchases I have made in the last year. The bag itself is fine, nice and strong and the pull handles are nice. They fit my Simple Human brand tall 30 liter trash can as well as any. The alleged Febreze scent however is terrible. It has a strong chemical like smell to it, which is not even pleasant to smell when there is nothing in the trash bag, let alone once the trash starts to stink a bit. It's so bad that I have a few of my previous non-scented bags left and once in a while it is a splurge for me to use a non-scented bag. As a single house hold this 40 pack is going gruelingly slowly and I cannot wait to use them up and never scented bags again. ... show more

    • Overpowering Smell
I have been using the Glad regular bags ever since they first came out. The bags are great! They have a great stretch and are very strong; I can really pack trash in them to the top, press it down hard and pull the bag out of the can without it tearing. What I really dislike about these is the scent. I didn't realize these were scented bags when I placed the order with Prime Pantry. I was going to buy them at my local store but needed an additional item to get the free shipping. The scent has a strong chemical smell that is truly overpowering and I know scents and flavors as that is my profession. Even in the unopened box, the smell is so strong that it comes right through the cabinet, burns my eyes and irritates my nose. I threw them away. If the makers of these placed a box in their own home they would see for themselves. ... show more

I used to not pay attention to the planet too much. I cared, but I was superficial and didn’t thought about how important every day actions are. I've been using these trash bags for years and will continue to purchase them. Even though I stuff my trashcan full, it is rare when they rip or break. The bag's flexibility is wonderful. And, I rarely have a trashcan that smells. The odor shield lets me throw some pretty stinky things into the garbage without giving me a fear of receiving a terrible smelly greeting when entering my house. The scented feature of these trash bags won't totally overcome stinky foods you drop inside, but it will buy you a little more time in having to empty the can because of odor. The bags themselves are OK; they will rip if you trash something with an edge and I've had the handles tear a couple of times. These trash bags are extremely durable, and hold up well even to the sharp edges from crushed cans when I use them to hold our aluminium that's headed for recycling. The scent is alright and not very over-powering, especially after it's been sitting out for a little while.     • The WORST Added Scent Ever
These bags are fine, they do the job decently. The drawstrings tend to snap when you’re tying up the bag, so that’s kinda pointless BUT the absolute worst thing about these is the awful, chemical, synthetic odor from the febreeze. It’s so unnecessarily pungent and when mixed with trash, combines to make an odor so harsh, you’ll be living with headaches until you get rid of them. Seriously, the odor is so strong on these, I can still smell it weeks later inside my garbage container after switching to unscented bags. Don’t buy these.     • Smells good
They smell good but they aren’t very strong of flexible. Bags rip easily and I’ve had to double bag to avoid spills. Had a bag rip at the bottom and it left a trail of liquid from my door around to my trash bin on the side of the house. Will not purchase these again.
