Upon opening the box, there is definitely a strong paint odor, but once it was put together I can barely detect it. It took me about 2 hours by myself to put together. Instructions were only pictures, but were very clear as to what parts to use and how to assemble each step. The cabinet is very sturdy. The drawer opens and closes smoothly and has a center piece under the drawer so the drawer won't sag with weight. The doors were the easiest to install that I have ever done and came out completely even. There is a lot of room inside for storage. The finish is very smooth and will be easy to wipe clean. Beautiful cabinet. Decent quality for a good price. My only problem was the shelf support pins were too short to hold the shelves securely. I bought different ones and they worked perfectly. They are Everbilt 5 mm angled support pins, model #802424. I highly recommend avoiding the frustration by replacing the pins. ... show more

Love this cabinet and all the shelving room it provides. I have purchased 4 of these, and have them in use in 3 different rooms in my house. 1, holds board games, another is used as a bookcase, another for video games, etc. These cabinets are sturdy and stap is encluded to attach to the wall to prevent tipping. Lots of shelving provided, unlike most other cabinets. It is absolutely beautiful once assembled. Yes this cabinet was very easy to put together and it does need two people to do it. All the parts was marked amd instructions easy. We found that if laid out all the sections around the room it made easy to find each piece. I would advise that when you put the top part on you very near where the cabinet will be.
